No one was at the entrance to help patients walk in. I needed a wheelchair and came alone and no one, including security, was at the door to help. The ladies at the desk were pleasant and kind. The first room I was taken in was like a dentist office, no one explained this to me as I have just moved to the area and this is a new hospital for me. The doctor and nurse I had assigned to me were very rude. They neglected to look or research my history as I have had 8 back surgeries and have an auto-immune disease and they treated me like I was a drug seeker, especially the nurse. When I asked to see the nurse because she didn't follow up on one of the dr. Orders she kept trying to avoid getting him for me to speak with him. When he finally did come in he told her to get what he ordered. When I asked her a question all she would say was "I don't think he is going to do that". She (again the nurse) couldn't even get an IV in. After one Polk she went to get someone else, which took at the least 45 minutes to get an IV and get meds flowing. I'm finding that since my husband and I recently moved here people (hospital and pharmacies) are reluctant to service us because our D.L. just have a sticker on the back and we are considered "out of the area" people because we have kept the doctors we've had. For me if I change I will be considered dr shopping. I'm damned no matter what all because staff are too lazy to call and verify my condition.
