Very disappointed with the lack of care my father ...

Very disappointed with the lack of care my father received there. They are very understaffed and after complaining to department heads some issues were resolved like getting pillowcases and a recliner for him. Danielle the one aide was very nice and accommodating.
The evening nurse Marie was in charge of one half of the wing, she had a good attitude, but they really need to hire more quality employees instead of overworking the ones they have.
My father cane down with pneumonia and when my sister and I walked in one evening he was shivering and had a blanket across his shoulders while the IV of the antibiotic was started and he was wet. The aid did not change him and I didn t want to wait for her to come back because she was tending to the other so my sister helped me while I changed him into dry clothes and disinfected the vinyl recliner her sat in and took the urinated sheet to the laundry bin in the hall. His lunch tray sat in his room until just before dinner on Sunday, June 30th.
He pressed the call button and waited over 30 minutes over the weekend to help him put his oxygen hose in the wall, no answer so he walked over and did it himself. The entrance is attractive and the receptionists were always friendly, but think twice before considering sending a loved one here. We were not impressed. If you are looking for your loved one to be ignored send them to MonteFiori. Don t assume as I did thinking he would be taken care of based on the rating. If I read the reviews prior to his admission I would not have sent my father to this place.
Huge waste of money. Better to hire a private aid if your insurance allows it.
I called and waited for several department heads to call me on July 3rd for over three hours to address my concerns and finally was put through to a head nurse Tori Payne who listened to my concerns. She is great and sent emails to the staff. Hope they get it together.
