On 12/17/20 I paid in advance for cosmetic service...

On 12/17/20 I paid in advance for cosmetic services to be done on 1/7/21. On 12/30/20 I was contacted by a manager and the Jan 7th appointment was cancelled because the doctor had an emergency and wasn't available. I found out the doctor is no longer with the "U" and I requested a refund. They are refusing to refund my money stating that the procedure was actually done on 12/17/20, which is NOT true! Medical fraud if you ask me!

UPDATE: February: The billing office finally understood the situation, profusely apologized and are issuing a full refund. About time, it took me 1 month to get them to understand the situation. I'll be waiting for that check.

UPDATE #2: Today is March 2, 2021. The refund has still not been processed! I filed a complaint with my credit card company and they have issued me a contingent refund and are now attempting to collect from the U of U. I did receive a partial refund check last week in the amount of $800 and the next day a phone call from the Dermatology Billing Office telling me I had no right to cash the check (I have not cashed it) as they have refunded to my credit card company. I contacted my credit card company and they stated they do not have a refund yet.
