I recently rented an apartment with Nicholas Kattar at Crosstown Apts. At first I was hesitant about coming into this office and working with another broker as I have had some pretty bad experiences in the past. The apartment I inquired about was in Inwood and it didn't make sense to have to come into their midtown office first but Nicholas explained to me that while it was a hassle we could do a more efficient, time saving search this way so I consented.

I had already seen quite a few places with random brokers I met at the apartments and they were either nothing like the pics I saw, or I applied and found out later the landlord wanted extra security or the apartment was already taken. When I met with Nicholas at Crosstown Apts. he was extremely patient, pleasant, and knowledgeable on the market. He explained to me the different landlord expectations and showed me potential options on his database. We were able to pinpoint places based on my financials and criteria for an apartment. We ended up seeing four different apartments and all were close to what I was looking for.

Yes it is a hassle having to come into the office but I definitely see the benefits of it and I essentially ended up applying for one that day.

Nicholas wasn't pushy and never came across as "Salesy" or "Broker looking for a deal" A real pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him. There are a lot of sketchy real estate agents out there. He is definitely not one of them.
