Not sure how this insurance company is still open....

Not sure how this insurance company is still open. I was also rear ended by a policy holder of theirs (like many other reviewers) and would leave voicemails and emails with the person handling my case with no response. This went on for more than 2 weeks. Finally called really early at 8AM and she answered. Proceeded to tell me the policy holder who hit me has not responded and hasn't given an accident report. Therefore, they can't prove he hit me (even though I had a witness and another person involved in the accident) and that it'd be much easier for my insurance to cover it! I told her I'd be getting legal help if they weren't going to cover my repairs. I finally contacted the company that issued the policy and let them know the issue. All of the sudden I hear from the person who hits me apologizing and saying he turned in the report. I called the person handling my case and she said there was no submission. She finally "finds" it the next week. I do eventually get a check of $2,550 for my car because they declared it totaled. I think that they are taking advantage of people. I don't believe that the person who hit me knew how sketchy this company was. He barely spoke any English and was very sweet and wanted to cooperate. I think it's odd that so many people who have been hit by their policy holder have issues. BEWARE of this company. I reported them to the BBB and will be doing so to the Texas Department of Insurance.
