Hotel is nice, clean, comfortable... typical of the Hilton chain.

Homewood Suites offers complimentary hot breakfast and evening social light food. This location serves free beer and wine during the two hour social at 5PM.

The breakfast offerings are pale in comparison to other Homewoods, as they offer eggs and one other hot item, plus he usual breads, juices and coffee. The evening "meals" were nice, and much appreciated. This location uses foam plates and bowls, plastic tableware and paper coffee cups in the common area. All other Homewoods use reusable ware. Maybe this is a new change for Hilton, maybe this location does not have a large kitchen...

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Parking is $10 a night. This is a toss up, we are Downtown, so it is a bit expected. Plenty of free on street parking at the perimeter of the hotel lot, use 14th street and you will find it. I ended up paying.

The area is a relatively newly developed part of Omaha. The college baseball stadium is directly across the street, as well as about ten bars and restaurants are all within 3 blocks from the hotel. Caution most of the nearby establishments closed by 9PM, this was in the off-season. I imagine baseball season has places open later. There is a bar/restaurant diagonally across the street, serving food until 10 and drinks until 11.

I briskly walked to the trendy Old Market section of town in about 20 minutes. The city seems very safe and accessible. While this hotel is a bit off the center of town, you can get there in less than 20 minutes by walking. There are great restaurants and nighttime options only 8 blocks away.

Overall, a pleasant stay.
