A little background, I have leased from Prestige Toyota since 2012. I had a 2012 Rav4 LE, 2015 Rav4 LE, and 2018 Rav4 LE. My lease for my car was up in late December; right after Thanksgiving I started to receive calls about my options (buying the vehicle, returning the vehicle, leasing/buying a new vehicle). Clearly, I love my Rav4 and wanted to lease a new 2021 Rav4. Being that I am older now and working, I thought it was time for an upgrade to the 2021 Rav4 XLE.
I had spoke with Rob Rago from the start. Initially Rob had asked what I was looking for and he explained all my options to me. He was thorough and clear with what all my options were.
When I had told him that I was looking into leasing a 2021 Rav4 XLE, he had explained to that production was down and prices were up. He did tell me that since I have been a loyal customer for 3, hopefully 4, vehicles he would give me a great price. To be honest, he came in with a deal that I was not thrilled about. I decided to keep my options open, so I called around to other dealerships. Other Toyota dealerships were coming in $80-$120 more per month than Rob's initial offer, with more due at signing. Throughout my discussions with other dealerships it was becoming more and more clear that Rob Rago was the most honest and best offer. Rob had reached out to see where I was in my decision and I had explained my issues with the lease. Other dealers had shot down my requests, but Rob was open and heard everything I had to say; and honestly, I was asking for a lot. Rob could've easily said the initial deal was the rock bottom he can go, but instead he insisted that he wanted me to get the car I wanted and he would do everything he can to get me in what I want.
Rob had called and said that they were getting in a shipment of vehicles with a few Rav4's. Based on the shipment he was getting, we picked one of the vehicles and it came time for finalizing the deal. After a few more phone conversations, we came to an agreement. The final deal was a little more than I had planned on spending, but when compared with his initial offer and the offers from other dealerships, I can tell that this was the absolute best price I could possibly get for this vehicle.
My overall experience with Rob Rago was excellent. He was a real person, not just another salesman that was upselling me on every little thing and not just telling me what I wanted to hear. I could tell he actually wanted me to get the car I wanted and get me down to as close to the price point that I needed. The experience from initial call to driving off the lot only took one week; it was fast and easy. Rob worked quick, yet efficient with taking my calls, negotiating prices and finalizing the deal.
I recommend Prestige Toyota to anyone that is looking for a new car, and especially recommend working with Rob Rago.
