Wonderful exhibits, Awesome Rocket Launch Location...

Wonderful exhibits, Awesome Rocket Launch Location but very poor direction and signage from parking, to lines and where to go. Plan to stand a lot. We went for a 2:48 am launch. There were two ticket packages available and we chose the one for $195 PP. We were instructed to arrive at 10:30 pm and to bring bug spray and chairs. There was a huge line upon arrival so people had to have arrived way prior to the 10:30 time. There was no one in the parking lot instructing you where to go so you have to wander around lugging your chairs around to try and find someone who can help. The line probably had well over 500 people in it and we thought that there had to be a shorter line for the $200 tickets. No, they have one line for everyone, it doesn't matter what you pay. We stood in line for about 90 minutes. Thankfully it was a beautiful evening. After we got through security you would think that someone would be there to tell you where to go, NOPE. Luckily we found a bathroom nearby and a place to sit for a few minuets. We walked around for a bit longer and we found an employee who told us where to go stand in line to get onto a bus. That line was only about 20 minutes. The bus driver was very informative about things we would see along the way. After about a 15 minute bus ride we were dropped off and we all stood in front of this large building. After about 10 minutes of standing around with no one telling us what was going on I went looking for another employee to find out why we were all standing around yet again. He instructed me that we were waiting to go inside the building to watch a film and then eat. I'm not sure why none of the 3 employees standing nearby the crowd didn't inform the group about what was going on. I was a bit surprised that no one else was wondering why the heck we were all standing there. The doors finally opened and we entered a big room and a movie started. No idea how long the movie is, no place to sit, standing only. A good film about the history of the space program but it would have been nice to sit. That film ends and you enter another room that looks like a control room. Again, no one says anything you're just expected to figure out that you come in and sit down and watch another film. Once that ends you exit into an enormous room (there is an actual rocket suspended from the ceiling) VERY COOL!!! Not knowing what is going on because no one has said anything, we wander around with our chairs in hand. We identified several tables that looked like they had food at one time. About half way into the building we found tables set up that actually had food. We didn't know if all the tables had the same food so we had to wander around to figure it out. The napkins and plastic ware were in totally different areas. They didn't have enough places to sit and eat. I think because there was so much standing prior to this that there were a lot of people sitting in the place were you were supposed to eat and they didn't get up once they were done eating. There was no one cleaning the tables so in order to get a seat you had to clean up the mess from the prior person who was sitting there. GROSS! There was no one telling you where to go set up to watch the launch. We walked where we thought we should go. We asked an employee if this is where we should set up and they told us that this area was already full so we should go to a different area. Basically where we just came from. We sat up our chairs on the lawn and it was a great spot for the launch. I'm glad that we did this but I wish there were more employees instructing people where to go for each part of the experience. Where to park, where to go after you park, where to stand in line, where to go once you get through security, where to catch the bus, what the program is once you get off the bus. We had a pass to go back the next day but we were so turned off by the experience that we didn't go back. It looks like its a very educational place with good exhibits. Perhaps during the day its more organized.
