These guys give used car sales a bad name - In past we've had great experiences buying cars We had seen a couple cars at Autobarn on the internet in our price range so went to check them out. We decided to buy it and had seen the internet price for it they listed. On outside of car it said warranty included but they wanted to charge us $1800 to certify the used car for a 2011 vehicle and another $499 for something they had sprayed in the vents to kill the germs for the person who had driven it only 2K miles. We decided not to get the extras and accepted the FULL internet price but they wouldn't tell us the interest rate they would give us but wanted us to give them $2000k to hold the car. We already were pre approved on financing so we decided to fill out paper work to see if they'd give us a better deal on financing. We gave them all our info - salaries, SSN's everything. Then we went to get a copy of the insurance card and the manager comes back and tells us sorry the car was sold earlier in the day and they were on their way from 4 hours aways to get it. They asked us if would we be interested in a deal on a new Mazda instead? All the paperwork had disappeared off the desk. We left irritated thinking the car was sold. When we got home and searched for another dealer to look at the car was listed for a $1000 higher (same VIN) than it was earlier! Now a bit worried they might do something with all our personal financial information!
