While we were happy we got a prompt response, we were not happy with the service or the price. The technician that came reeked of smoke. He worked on the HVAC unit for 25 min to replace the gas valve. He went up to the thermostat to find out it still wasn't working. Turns out he put the OLD gas valve in, not the NEW gas valve so he had to do the work a 2nd time, for a total of 45 minutes now. All of the sudden I'm smelling A LOT of gas. I questioned the technician and he said "Yeah I forgot to seal off the pipe and gas got out but it's not dangerous to your health." Seriously? I couldn't believe they charged us $647 for this ordeal which was all labor because our unit is under warranty!! The next time we lost heat we hired a local company and the charge was only $125 so we now have a service contract with them. When I called Oliver customer service the manager did not seem to care about our concerning technician and instead, just tried to sell me their service agreement. Um, why would I want to have a service agreement with a company that I do not trust and overcharges?
