My boyfriend and I had booked a tour to the Cliffs...

My boyfriend and I had booked a tour to the Cliffs of Moher about a month ago. Unfortunately, storm Brendan struck which closed the Cliffs of Moher the day we were planning to go. A red status warning was issued, which closed the Cliffs of Moher tour office and when looking at their website, they pleaded that no one come to the cliffs as it is severely dangerous in these conditions.

Paddywagon tour never even informed us that the cliffs would be closed; we had to find out by looking at Facebook. Of course, we did not want to attend a tour that would last an entire day (12 hours plus) that wouldn t even go to our final destination.

We walked all the way to Paddywagon s tour office to request a refund for this trip (in the middle of storm Brendan I might add), because it was our last day in Europe and we would not be able to reschedule. They refused and said they best they could do was give us a company credit that would only be valid for the next year. However, they would not take care of that on the spot and instead told us to email the company. We did so, and never got a response.

Now I understand not offering refunds for people that miss their buses, or other situations like that. However, when a storm closes the Cliffs for safety reasons, I think it is INSANE that a giant company like this would not offer refunds. This situation was entirely out of our control, and now I m out over $100. Apparently these type of storms only close the cliffs a couple times a year too, so it s not like they d have to issue these refunds often.

I will never use this company even if I come back to Dublin. I am so disappointed that they could not do anything for me in this situation, not even a simple email response. I would not recommend booking tickets in advance because you have no way of getting refunded if something goes wrong. Stay away!!
