At the end of summer our furnace would not turn on...

At the end of summer our furnace would not turn on when the temp dipped below the set 69 degrees. Since it is in the crawl space, we couldn't check it out (we are older). We called WES and were told it would be 3 weeks for service unless we wanted emergency service, which was over $300. We put on sweaters and waited the 3 weeks. Luckily the temp didn't go below 64 degrees. The tech was here about 10 minutes and flipped the switch on the furnace back on, it had turned itself off.
Great tech, but not happy we had to wait 3 weeks!! I'm just glad it wasn't winter time.
