We went on Oct 17th, Saturday of the Brevard Resident reduced entry program. We got there early and the line was already 2/3s the way to the road. There were only two entrances out of 4 or 5 open and both of them were very slow. It took 40+ minutes in that line. Once we parked we had to stand in another line for tickets. That took another 30+ minutes to get our tickets. Entrance to the park was fast, just a couple of minutes with only two gates open. Most everyone was masked up, which I appreciate. Most of the food vendors were closed due to COVID, which I get. We stood in line for the IMAX Asteroid Hunters movie which had technical difficulties and did not play. The walking tour of the rocket garden was good with a very good guide. The Mars exibit was also very good with a very good presenter. Gift shop was well stocked and not too overly pricey. One thing missing was there were no maps posted anywhere. They wanted you to download the app. I just wanted a quick look at a map. Post one or two in the main walkway.
We had an OK time but I would have been upset if I paid full price. Hey KSC visitor center, this is Central Florida. Go to any one of the attractions in Orlando and see how to get people in and out of the park efficiently. Hire some of the laid off theme park workers, they are already trained. That was a serious failure. This could have been so much better.
