Sally Cowan Review of Church of the Resurrection
I have been attending Resurrection over 20 years ...
I have been attending Resurrection over 20 years and it is an open, loving church. We welcome anyone who wishes to come to service. We have shared services with our Jewish friends, we have many black attendees as well as Ministers on our staff. It really offends me when I read these other reviews about how we don't welcome others; as well as how much money we have. Have they ever heard of the law of 10% return? Our offerings are shared in every needy place I can think of right now: providing play ground equipment for schools that don't have them (only to have them torn down and we put them up again) clothing gifted to children all during the year, gifts for them at Christmas, food delivered to unfortunate familes in Johnson & Jackson counties. We are online in senior residences so the residents that can't get out can have church services. I could go on and on about grief support, employment support. I am disappointed that people go on and on about how we "don't" do any thing with our offerings. I pray they would not let one instance turn them away to wallor in the negative side of life. Just don't get stuck there.....
Don't compare any minister with any other minister. Adam Hamilton just is one that walks his talk. If he earned $50 million a year you can believe he isn't keeping it all himself.
