My husband and I stayed at Woodmark to end our west coast road trip. We had never been to Seattle before and was looking for a laid back atmosphere. Unfortunately, due to weddings and corporate events when we checked in, they couldn't upgrade our room; however, we did get cookies and champagne. At 10 pm every night since they don't have restaurants or bars open they have "woody" which is a pantry which guests are allowed to raid for FREE! The lobby is very welcoming, and they always have water or coffee available. The first night we took advantage of the shuttle to go to dinner in Kirkland. The text message feature makes it easy to communicate with the front desk. It was just as easy as using a rideshare program. The next day we used the outdoor sports watermark and got a free hour of kayaking. During the day we texted the hotel again and asked to be able to out on the Woodmark II boat, which they promptly set us up for the same day. We were taken out to the ship, and it was a lovely 2-hour ride that only cost $50 per person. We had an excellent guided tour of Lake Washington and Lake Union. We also took a jetski out before noon on our last day and got a 30% discount because we were staying at the hotel. That was so much fun! It was easy to take a lyft into the city in about 20-30mins and then drive less than 20 min to Woodinville and all the wineries. Kirkland is a cute area that is much more laid back than the city. The beds were SO comfortable, and the shower has both a rainfall showerhead and a handheld. The Molton Brown products smelled awesome although I wish they gave you small travel-sized products. The parking fee and amenities fee were more than ideal for a resort outside the city. Wish they offered a bed and breakfast package since the beach house was a bit pricey for breakfast.
