My husband and I spent our all inclusive honeymoon...

My husband and I spent our all inclusive honeymoon at Bolongo Bay June 2-June7, 2014. We had an excellent time. All of the staff was very friendly, helpful, and diligent. We enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere very much. It was the off season, so we were usually the only ones on the beach or at the bar. The resort provided beach chairs, towels, and shade and a number of different water toys and snorkeling equipment. At the advice of Laura, one of the managers, we took a sail on The Heavenly Days, Bolongo Bay's catamaran, to swim with the sea turtles. The crew was very professional and also answered any questions we had about the islands. Laura also was delighted to suggest an all day excursion to the British Virgin Islands. It was a great trip. We went to Virgin Gorda, St John, and Jost Van Dyke.
Our room at Bolongo Bay was nice, although the air conditioner wasn't very effective. We didn't mind, because we spent most of our time on the beach. The two restaurants had a large variety of items to choose from, and every meal was very tasty. Iggie's is a laid-back beach bar with bar-b-que, fish & chips, steak, tacos, basically anything you want, and great drinks. The Lobster Grille is a little more upscale with 4 course meals like: conch fritters, the wedge salad, lobster, grilled fish, creme brule, key lime pie. It was all delicious. We definitely recommend the Bolongo Bay to honeymooners and families, too. They do a great job at making it feel like home when you are there. Thanks to all the servers and bartenders!
