Still a pleasant resort, though ever changing. For us the major changes are the opening of the outdoor market called "Salum". Food was fair-to-good there, nothing special. There is a recently opened beach club which has lots of pools and cabanas, and good access to the beach.
One negative is the lack of landscaping maintenance. There are areas around the property where you used to be able to see areas close in, and also farther away, so there were vistas through the property. Now as you travel though on the trams or walking, it looks as if the pathways and roads are carved out of the jungle, with a wall of vegetation 30-50 feet high. Whwn walking around the property its more difficult to get directionally oriented. This is functional landscape design at best, possibly driven by a tight landscaping budget.
