Let me begin by saying I rarely give less than 4 stars however this place is an exception . I live in San Francisco and frequent a number of excellent high end restaurants in SF as well as France, Italy and Spain. I ordered the chef's special pasta which was way too salty and like another reviewer I was unable to finish it. My wife ordered the breaded cod but could not eat it because it was not fresh. When we explained this to the waitress she asked my wife if she had ever eaten cod before . She stated the cod was freshly flown in that day however on further questioning it appears it is dried and reconstituted. My wife is Norwegian and has been eating cod all of her life which is one of her favourite fish dishes. I am reluctant to recommend against coming to this restaurant because other reviewers seem to have had a better experience. The wine list is extensive and concentrates on Italian wines. The ambiance is wine cellar.
