Great location, few blocks away from the crowds at Spanish Steps. Waiters are helpful, solid menu, good wine and beer selection and indoors or outside is fun. We ve come here on our 5 trips to Rome and will be back in 2021!

If you are looking for a typical Roman place where to have a proper Carbonara, Gricia or cacio e pepe pasta....this is not the right place!
Apparently they cannot cook properly 'al dente' the rigatoni. But you can get tonnarelli...but they will be not be quite good as they are supposed to be ( this is what I get. Tonnarelli cacio e pepe. Zero taste). And the portion is pretty small.
Better to stop for an aperitive. With TAGLIERE. Only salami, cheeses and grilled vegetables. You cannot get this wrong.
Still, the place is lovely.

Never been before. Good reception. Menu. After careful study and observation of the guests, discarded the pizza (very low and by the faces of the customers ...) taken some dishes on the page of the dishes of the day. Polenta with sausage and pork sprouts. Mustache must be read. My partner strozzapreti with sausage and broccoli. The mustache is licked (not all are perfect).
Wine. Great Amarone. Council for posterity: if you plan to take more than one glass, keep in mind that the quantity is poor. So ask for the bottle. Instead of 2 glasses (spend the same amount).
Given the quality and courtesy of the staff, and not least the location of the room, the price is consistent.

Love this place. Just want a drink? Perfect for a range of draught beers and a big wine list by the glass. The staff care, they will help you order , you'll getc an education in bartending. Its not rustic, its a bar from a bygone age with a marble top (not wood!!) , nice tapas style food and a full restaurant. Only had the ham/cheese tapas stuff but would recommend. Miss it and mis out.

Have been coming here for a long time but in the last couple of years I ve noticed a fall in the standards. The latest reviews are good which is great for the establishment but I feel that the service to tourists has declined. The last few times I have been here the dishes ordered gave never had all the ingredients listed on the menu. I ve had to ask for bread which comes automatically to the Italian customers of which there seems to still be some amongst the tourists. No longer a favorite nor could I recommend it and this will be my last time as nostalgia no longer beats reality.

Very nice restaurant in the hart of Rome. Very good service, good food and a nice atmosphere. Not to expensiv and a very good selection of red and white Vine. Very nice place to enjoy both lunch and dinner, or just a glass of Vine througout the day.

Focaccia with porchetta d'Ariccia, well what about simply delicious. My partner had a pizza with anchovies and zucchini flowers (white pizza with mozzarella, anchovies and flowers / z), she was also very satisfied. Very wide choice of wines (wine list) both by the bottle and by the glass ... great place!

The experience at Antica Enoteca is entirely dependent upon who you get as a server. This is why you'll see many 5 and 1 star reviews.
Nicola was the best server we had in our two weeks in Italy. He was working his tail off while his Marc Antony co-worker was ignoring customers to flirt with girls.
Having been there many times with my wife, I can understand why many people don't like Antica Enoteca, but I still reccomend it... Just ask for Nicola!

Good shelter when it is 29 degrees outside like today and the sun is beating down, the food was decent, the food was good and the service was also prompt. The menu is varied and the prices average. Definitely recommend it to anyone who is passing through the center of Rome.

My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday dinner and I ordered the chicken and because I cannot have cream I asked without the lemon cream. What I got was two pieces of chicken without any taste whatsoever. My girlfriend asked the waiter if it could be possible to change the meal because as she put it, I looked to be "suffering" from the meal. The waiter was extremely rude and said that because I ordered that meal I couldn't return it, even though I only had half of a bite. In the end I only ate the roast potatoes which were on the side and covered in oil. This is not a place I would ever recommend or return to. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because my girlfriend enjoyed her meal, the lamb shank.

Cocktail and wine was just OK. Service too. Came here because it was highly recommended as a good aperitivo place with very good service. Food was very underwhelming. Dry eggplant quiche and some olives. Might be a good spot for diner but horrible aperitivo experience.

Outside was full so we sat inside, which is also very charming. Service was attentive and prompt and the food was delicious. Caprese salad was overflowing with the most ripe and fresh tomatoes, and the buffala mozzarella was fantastic. Margarita pizza was wonderful, perfectly thin crust. Prices are fair for atmosphere and location. Definitely recommend!

So ... The place is nice and lasagna good. To think of the presentation in the plate would be a plus.
By cons, a waiter "boxer" exceeded and aggressive limit that looks hostile and allows comments to his colleague in Italian if you used a word in Spanish. The other waiters seemed more courteous.
Upon departure, salvation is not required.
So the experience will depend more on the server and his mood ...

It stands out among many tourist spots for being a historic place in the center of Rome (two steps from the Spagna metro) with a crazy variety of wines and fabulous interiors. I can only recommend.

At first seemed like a nice Enoteca, but they charged us for bread we never got and after being very nice at our arrival they ignored us for the rest of the time, it was very hard to order anything.

Beautiful place, incredible food, great price and the staff are genuinely friendly; not pushy or forceful. Really enjoyed sitting out and relaxing, watching the world go by. Highly recommended

Unsurpassed value for money. Not to be confused with the abundance of "antica", "vechia" and others surrounding this establishment near the Piazz di Spagna. Recommended and much. The very cool decoration fresco, see photo

Tourist trap. Awful service - the waiter made us move our table to start instead of greeting us when we arrived.

Got my order wrong not once but twice and then was hostile with me when I had to repeat myself no cheese (it s an allergy not like he cared) it arrived to the table twice covered in cheese.

And at the end of the day the food was mediocre. My husband has had better pizza in the states.

Stay away from this place.

We are staying in an apartment near the Piazza Espagna. Tonight we went down the street to eat a light dinner at Antica Enoteca. We had eaten there last spring and thought it was okay. We sat quite a while reviewing the menu during which time the table behind us, which was seated after us, was taken care of promptly. They had a different server. When our server finally came, we ordered two antipasti and one of the daily specials which was Zuppa de Verdure (basically vegetable soup). When the antipasti arrived the server forgot to bring oil and vinegar. We waited again. We couldn't catch the eye of the manager or the server. Eventually we did and happily ate our first dish. Forty-five minutes later we still hadn't been served the soup. Soup! If we had ordered an entre that had to be made when ordered, I would have understood. But not soup. Again we tried

It has changed but maintains the speed of service. The menu is smaller and the atmosphere a bit more "modern". Personally, I liked it more before, it was like a Roman pearl in the middle of the city, but it maintains a certain warmth that it enchants. I would go back but this time, to eat at the bar something to peck. Anyway you have to meet her!
