The first impression is good when you walk into the hotel. The hotel and the rooms are getting old and a renovation is overdue, especially with the rooms.
In general, the service is very bad. The service staff in the restaurants / bars is friendly and nice, but uncoordinated, terribly slow, you have to repeat everything 3, 4, 5 times, orders are forgotten, drinks come when you are almost finished with food, etc. Everything is great dragging and laborious. For the whole 18 days we wondered what the hotel deserves to be called luxury.
In view of the fact that the extra costs for drinks or snacks are very high and that we also paid such a high price, no word was asked at check-out whether we liked it and everything was to our satisfaction and no thanks or good luck Travel home pronounced, just nothing!
As a beach boy told us in the familiar on the last day, the hotel works more and more with untrained staff and pays correspondingly low wages! You noticed that!
The housekeeping team was very nice and ok. The rooms were clean, but not great if you looked closer. Sometimes the towels were forgotten to hang up, then the water glasses were not exchanged or only one was put down instead of two. In a 5 star luxury hotel and at this price you would expect a small Nespresso machine in the room, especially since Nespresso is also available in Mauritius. In the meantime, Nespresso machines are everywhere in the well-known hotel chains, so it's already standard.
The spa area was great!
