Overall impression - If you do not book a room on the 6th or 7th floor with an ocean view, you're not going to be happy at all.

Room on 2nd Floor - Our second floor room that we booked was nothing like the picture on the website. The room was a complete mess. There was mold in the bathroom. Walls were scratched and carpet worn out. Toilet was loose..everytime we sat on it, it felt like it was going to break.

Room on 6th Floor - Being extremely disappointed with the upkeep of our 2nd floor room, we asked to be relocated and the hotel staff was kind enough to accommodate our request. They placed us on the 6th floor with a partial ocean view and we were very pleased. The room's cleanliness and maintenance appeared to be better than that of our second floor room. Still had some wear and tear, but was in better shape. Bathroom looked decent...bedding was clean. Mini-fridge was clean. Walls did not have as many scratches as our previous room. The partial ocean view was still amazing...

Lobby - The lobby which is where it appears they spend all their money is nice and we like the fact that the beach is right there...easily accessible.

Restaurant and bar - The restaurant named The Salt Lounge was nice and the food pricey, but delicious. The Tiki Bar and Grill was nice as well.

Pricing - Fairly reasonable...they need to spend more of their profits on their lower level rooms.

Summary - Again the extremely pleasant staff, easy access to the beach, and great restaurant and bar makes up for the room shortfalls.

Update 10/29/17
After reviewing other hotels in the Cocoa Beach area, this appears to be the best option. We booked a stay earlier this month, but selected an oceanfront, high-floor room and was pleased. Of course, there is the typical wear and tear most hotels will have and what matters is how responsive hotel management is to addressing those issues.

Will say the ocean view was amazing. We have uploaded pictures for you to review. The easy access to the bar and beach is a huge benefit. Hotel receptionists was great as usual. They deserve 5 stars and two thumbs up. Friendly, helpful, and pointed out some good restaurants for us.

Very interested in seeing how different their suites are from their regular rooms. We'll see....
