All ratings "fair" rather than "poor" - it's not terrible, but I just can't get enthusiastic about this pub.

Apparently one of the oldest pubs in London, this is famously where Samuel Pepys watched the Great Fire of London from in 1666 - only for this pub itself to then succumb to another fire in Southwark 10 years older. It's hard to believe the current building even dates back as far as 1676 though - both the exterior and the interior are disappointingly modern looking.
