I will never birth here again. I birthed my first 5 babies here. I love the location, the hospital is pretty, and always very clean. But after trying 5 times to explain my desires for my births- only to get steam rolled by the staff, I've decided to never birth there again . I recently went to McClaren for the birth of my 6th baby and couldn't believe the difference! Genesys expects every birth to be the same. They don't respect your wishes for your own body. They just forcefully do to you what they do for every birth- its a very standardized way of treating birth. At McClaren they are totally patient oriented- they work hard to give you the experience you are wishing for. They ask you what you wish for and respect it. Hopefully Genesys will eventually get up to date and realize that every woman and baby and birth are unique, and shouldn't all be pounded into the same mould!
