Very historic building and the site of a public tavern of sorts for a couple of hundred years at least. It is a tourist destination and a tourist pub. Prices are high and the food is generally okay, if again pricey. Staff are young and the atmosphere is generally hipster. You will not be experiencing a feel of an Olde Worlde Pub as the decor is modern and it has the feel of a corporate large group. It is predominantly frequented by tourists rather than locals and groups of local office workers as a convenient stop. It has a good outside seating area with great views over the Thames which gets very crowded during peak times in the summery months (what we get of those). It is popular with local workers in the summer for its outside area which is a good place to watch the world go by....
