On some performances, i thought it cannot really get any better than The Met Opera. I did see some real exquisite performances with them this season, with amazing performers, classic and impressive productions. These were the WOW performances:
La Boheme
Aida
Nabuco
L'Italiana in Algeri

However i was extremely disappointed of other productions:
Il Barbiere di Siviglia - a stage was build over the orchestra and totally damaged their sound in the theater. Also the production was way too dumb down, it just got boring, not as funny.
Romeo et Juliette - unfortunately the March 2017 cast had no chemistry between Romeo and Juliette. I did hear the earlier cast was a complete different experience.
Carmen - was just ok. Not a memorable experience.

I still love going so very very much, just wish i didn't have to be as picky going forward with the produces and performers I'll be going to see.
