It's been 5 weeks and I'm still waiting for a letter confirming when my appointment will be. Twice I've phoned up to get an idea how long I'll have to wait just to receive the letter, nevermind an appointment. The outpatients line puts you on hold for 20 minutes to then be answered with a dismissive and condescending attitude. You have to ask multiple times to get the information you're seeking whilst enduring rude responses. I was told by the receptionist today that sometimes patients receive their letters THE DAY BEFORE their appointments but not to worry because they'll phone you in that case, at last minute too like that makes any difference. This really isn't good enough! Other trusts manage to run better than this so what is the problem here?
