I had an upper endoscopy. Everything went perfectly smoothly until I woke up and found that my front crown had been broken off by the nurse. She stated that she knocked it out with the suction. (My dentists have said that she had to hit it hard to have broken it off at the posts. And it was very sore for two days afterwards) All I got was a "I'm sorry, here's your tooth". Now I will be spending $4,000 and a year without a front tooth to get an implant. Read your informed consent. If they knock your tooth out, they won't pay for it. I wish I had known that this is a fairly common occurrence. Oh and I had just finished Invisalign treatment as well! So, Dr. Mallory tells me the possible complications and the only thing he mentions is the 1% chance they puncture my stomach. No mention of the possible 44% chance they knock my teeth out. Lovely. Be careful.
