We stayed at this hotel between July 10th and July...

We stayed at this hotel between July 10th and July 16th. The trip was organised by TUI and we had all inclusive. We had an overall great experience, and only one complaint about the people asking you to buy stuff all the time. To read about the complaint part check the "staff" section, the rest is only very positive words :)

Room:
The room was very nice. We first got a room with separate beds and asked if we could change it. They changed it for us at no additional cost and actually gave us a better room with sea view. The hotel is 30 years old, so the style is a bit old fashioned, but I personally really liked it.

Food:
They have two buffet restaurant and three a la carte restaurants (of which two of them are included in the all inclusive). The food was overall very good. In every meal we found some dish that was outstanding. They take good care of their food and it shows.

Activities:
The hotel offers quite many activities: music, yoga, aqua gym, stuff for children, some evening events. We did not take part to these activities, so I don't really have an opinion. But a real plus for this hotel is the reef. At the beach there is a peer going into the sea that gives access to a beautiful reef. Furthermore, 15/20 minutes walking from the beach one can find Marsa Mubarak (Turtle's Bay). It's a lovely bay where a friendly dugong, many turtles and other fishes live. We were lucky enough to actually see the dugong, but we did not manage to see the turtles.
This actually transformed our vacation in a snorkeling vacation, which we really enjoyed and I would really recommend this hotel to anybody that enjoys snorkeling too.

Staff:
The reception staff and the waiting staff was just amazing. Always smiling, greeting, ready to help in any occasion.
As mentioned before, I found very annoying the part of the waiting staff whose job was to go around asking people to buy stuff that was not included in the all inclusive (wine bottles, fresh juice, some cocktails, etc). Some of them had a quite sad face when you were telling them you did not want whatever they were selling.
They could just have a very nice menu with all these things on the tables, so that people could ask for it if they wanted it, and not being asked 20 times a day.
The hotel has two pools, one "quiet" pool without music and a main pool with music. In the main pool salesman are allowed to come and sell massages, quad rides, camel rides and whatsoever. We spent a single day in the main pool and we really found it quite annoying, so we always went to the quiet pool afterwards.
Same holds for the little SPA they have. We entered it once out of curiosity and then run because the guy was insisting on selling stuff.
And same holds for the little shopping center they have. If you enter it you basically feel harassed into buying something. The prices are completely outrageous. We had to buy a medicine that cost 5 EGP and payed 5 euros for it.
