To be honest this company is not on your side at all. They will find any reason to deny your claim and leave you wondering what you did wrong. I had a hard time getting in touch with them after filing a claim. Customer service and live chat told me my claim was processing when really i found out from logging into my account that they were lying. In actuality, It was not processing at all because in my account was a note that said that they had not received the adoption records or the medical records. I had indeed sent the adoption records and the emergency pet clinic assured me that they had sent over the medical records as well. My kitten had an upper respiratory infection and was prescribed an antibiotic, an antiviral and nose drops for congestion. My claim was filed on January 3rd 2020 and was denied January 10th 2020 for having a pre-existing condition. The kitten have a clean bill of health from the Humane Society because of the records and they never let sick animals be adopted out. I would never adopt an animal that was sick! Petfirst is really a disappointment when it comes to pet insurance and certainly don't make things easy for the insured party.
