Overall, I had a great time at Treetop. It was well organized and staff answered any questions me and my small group had. There was surprisingly little preparation available, it seemed, to get you out there and on the courses, but my group and I took our time and locking/unlocking the carabiners became second nature!

My only complaint was how one of the male staff reacted when I had a minor freakout before deciding to quit one course and come back. Yes, there were some tears, because it was the first time I had done something like that and one particular element from one platform to the next really sent my minor fear of heights reeling! He basically threw a temper tantrum and complained to two other staff that I was one of 3 people "all at the same time" that apparently needed help coming back midway through. It makes me think, there are people up there who could be trying to conquer a fear of heights, try something new, or find courage/empowerment up there! and then you have a staff member that makes you feel like your tears/fear are unwarranted or even an inconvenience. He did make his way up to unlock me, but that was about it...no words of encouragement or validation of my fears. Maybe it's the mental health counselor in me, but I think staff can be more aware of moments like this and choose to encourage, not scoff, at someone's fear.

I ended the day well, and my sister and I chose to repeat a course we did well on. The staff taking off harnesses were super nice at the end, and I actually will be back to conquer that slackline!
