Giving it 4 stars because of its beauty. If I had to rate it on the class of the guests I'd give 0 stars. Just because you are going to the opera does not mean you are royalty. Treat others with respect. People shushing...one lady was coughing to clear her throat and people started looking at her like she just committed grand larceny. I couldnt believe how snooty people were here...tickets range from 25.00 and up people its NOT that serious.

Do your research before you go. On the back of the seats is a little screen where you can read in English what is going on in the Opera.

As far as dress code...I saw everything from Mc hammer pants to street Walker skirts.. Some people were in Jean's as well. There was one person wearing a gown...parking is right outside...

Honestly I'd never go back. Not because of the place it's just not my thing. And unfortunately snobby people ruined the experience as well. Even the workers were in agreement ...their words were...well it's the "Opera" I'd say just crop yourself into a online pic of the Metropolitan and save yourself the gas and nausea of New Yorkers who think they are better then you.
