Staff interactions were one of the highlights. Front desk always called us by our last name. Wait staff were more than pleasant. All were helpful. Jean went above and beyond with any need or situation that arose. Jose was great and very informative upon check in. Frederico helped us and directed us to any events or excursions we wanted. Richard the waiter at the restaurant was exceptional. Luce or Lucy was also great in the restaurant. Margoth was very helpful with information about the spa and very sweet. All seem to be excellent employees, well trained and spoke well of the property owners.

Housekeeping was always leaving something extra/special in the room after tidying up. Property was beautiful. It s a small property and not a full size resort. It was very quiet during our September stay. We stayed in a somewhat oversized room that also had an oversized bathroom shower/soaking tub. The walk to your room on the property made it feel very secluded. Heavy foliage all around. Very short walk to the beach. Chairs and hammocks are available. We made a point to be at the beach every morning and evening. The included breakfast was excellent. French press coffee every morning was good. Dinner prices were a little high but the content and quality of food was very good so the price was not a huge deal.

Several animals around the property. Raccoons, howling monkeys, small porcupine, iguanas and a couple cats that are the properties unofficial mascots. No issues with the animals at all. Well, howling monkeys are like roosters in the US. They roost starting around 5am.

Walk in to Tamarindo was about 15 minutes. Bikes are available for free and are a 5 minute or so ride to town. If you enjoy any form of exercise while you re on vacation this works out great.

If you are driving and you plan on arriving after dark get detailed instructions to the hotel. The hotel is in Playa Langosta just outside of Tamarindo. There are very little street lights to guide you. Not many street signs either. Any hotel signage is not lit until you are on property. I also lost my internet connection and gps signal upon entering the town of Tamarindo. Cell phone does not help with directions upon arrival into town.
