Do not I repeat Do not take your car to this place...

Do not I repeat Do not take your car to this place for Service. I also would recommend not buying a certified used car from them as they do not inspect them before certifying them. When I bought car three days later check engine and brake light on. I took car in for repair told it was a minor repair and should be fine. One week later same lights on again. Returned car the next day told the car required an extensive head repair job and I had to pay a warranty repair deposit. I informed them I was not paying any such fee as the car was certified used and should not have any problems. They finally agreed to fix car without such payment. I was given a rental car but had to provide my own transportation to dealership to pick up a rental. They proceeded to have my car for almost 2 weeks before the repair was finished. When I was able to finally pick up my car I was told how lucky I was because of practically 3000 dollars worth of work was completed. No joke.

Fast forward Jan 11, 2017 took car in because check engine light on. The attendant read the control told me it was Transmission Control Module and would call me to inform of cost. Five hours past, no call. I called dealership on hold for 15 minutes then hung up on. I promptly called back spoke to Scott Dexter. He told me they had not figured out the problem yet, and he would call me back. an hour or so passed before he finally called back. I was told again problem under review and he would call before closing at six pm. 5:45 pm no call, so I called in and spoke to Scott Dexter. He informed me they would not get to my car today and if I had problem I could come pick it up. I informed him that was unacceptable as my car needed repair. He proceeded to tell me he would give me a call by end of day Jan 12, 2017. Once again informed him that was not acceptable as I was a disable veteran and had an important VA appointment. VA appointment are hard to get and if missed the wait time can be excessive. He stated he would call me before 11 am .

I waited for call and went to website and lodged a complaint and was assured someone from management would call within the hour. That call was never received. Derek called later that day and stated it was not TCM but a sensor issue which would cost 54.00. he also advised my tire rods were in need of repair plus front end alignment. I authorize the repair. Received call toward close of business stating tire rod repair and front end alignment not recommended because rack and pinon plus struts need repairing. I asked the cost and was told with 10 percent discount cost would 818.00. I agreed and authorized repair. I was told my car would be ready today Jan 13. 2017. Finally Scott Dexter called and told me car was ready and sent driver to pick me up. Once I arrived he asked me to have a seat he had to get my paperwork together.

Scott Dexter asked me to come to area where cashier is located and have a seat. He proceeded to explain I was not charged for sensor issue but the total cost of repair would now be 980.00. I proceeded to inform him that was not what I was told 30 minutes ago over the phone and would only pay 818.00 I was informed was the final cost. He proceeded to argue with me I told him I would not tolerate it. He stated he needed his manager permission and I was unfair to him. He finally came back with a ticket for agreed upon amount. I read everything very careful and asked about warranty on the parts installed, paid for repairs.

In conclusion this was a very stressful and totally unprofessional experience. I will never buy another car or have service performed at Landers Mclarty Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. I will advise anyone I know to avoid at all costs especially my fellow Veterans and service member.
