Bobby Sivixay Review of John Eagle Honda of Dallas
Hi Everybody,
Hi Everybody,
I don't like to leave feedbacks in general unless I deem that it is necessary to prevent others from falling in the same footsteps. I am not able to give 5 stars because that would mean that everything went flawless.
I saw a Cadillac posted on the internet so I picked up the phone to go in for a test drive. Upon arrival, my agent was busy with another customer even though I scheduled a time to go in. I suppose my time was not important nor valuable than someone that is a repeat walk in customer. However, I was greeted by the best manager there named Nathan Young. He's amazing and I'll get back to this in a few. The Cadillac was not even detailed/washed to be shown to clients. I test drove it and felt uncomfortable the entire time because it felt like I was in a customers car. They should really make sure that the car is make ready before blasting it on the website. I then decided to forgo the Cadillac and went with a 2014 Honda Accord. The Honda Accord was listed as $21,900 and that exact price was listed on my deal ticket by the sales manager named John. I had to argue with John to remove the certified Honda charge of ~$1,300 because the car was not stamped or taped as certified. As a consumer, I don't care if the work has already been done and all that's missing is a sign. If it's missing then it's not certified. Any who, the certified amount was finally removed. I asked John and sales rep Dan to negotiate to lower the price to $20,500. John blantanty looked me in the face and lied saying that there's no wiggle room. Keep in mind that this exact car is online and listed for $20,900!!! Can you believe the sales manager John pulling a fast one on me? I even argued hard in the finance room and John came in to tweak numbers to make it appear fixed. This is so messed up since John said he cannot wiggle the price yet he comes into the finance room and tweaks numbers within a minute time frame. Definitely shady and deceptive practice for sure.
I made the mistake of leaving with the car even though I loudly stated that I do not want to take the keys nor the car. Once I arrived home, I was so upset about being misled and John not being transparent, I called and asked for the sales rep Dan. Dan basically stated that the bank had already financed the car and that I cannot take it back because of negative equity and that I was essentially screwed. Keep in mind that I live not even 1/4 of a mile from the dealership. If this Honda loses that much equity in this short time frame then you should be alarmed as a consumer! I was upset and asked for upper management names to file a formal complaint. He was reluctant to release someone and stated he never had to face this question before. I finally asked is there not a competent manager that's on duty? Dan then said he'll have amazing Nathan Young call me back. As I was waiting, I emailed the GM, Director, Owner/partner of John Eagle with my complaint. I also retained an attorney to help file a formal complaint to the attorney general.
This is where the positive 3 star reviews comes to play. Mr. Bill Cheeks, took my phone call and called for a meeting with his staff. Nathan Young called me and asked me to come in so that they can do whatever they can to make me happy and right. I informed my attorney that I am going in to see what resolution would be offered to me. My attorney gave me the green light so I went. Nathan was with me the entire time and did everything in his power to find me a new car that I am happy with. I could not take the original car because it reminded me of all those people that was not transparent with me so I couldn't keep it. Nathan got my new car detailed, filled it up with gas, and set me up with the finance person name Jonathan. Johnathan was very transparent and made sure the numbers tied. I am very happy with the customer service provided by Nathan. Please make sure you check the internet price and make sure that it matches your deal ticket. It was a hard lesson learned for me. Many thanks to the director too! Thank you.
