There is no help at these places. I think most people go to keep their benefits. All they do is tell you about resources you can research in your own. I'm a vet and the supposedly guy who helps vets didn't do anything. All he did was tell me about a job fair and two websites. I can job hunt on my own just fine and I won't be returning.

Horrible experience from start to finish. If I wasn't on another level and had no class someone could have gotten the business. They treat you like your an idiot. This lady instructed ME on how to open MY email. This place should be shut down. Waste of space, resources, and money.

So I been having issues at work
I been calling multiple places in need of information on scale pay and etc , so I came i across some simple papers provided by TWC
Long story short - I came in and asked my questions I was provided the same papers and the African American male walked away and that's it ... No response or help at all ... As I stranded in amazement I walked up and said you didn't even awnser a question and he pointed to a number and said to call there ... Wow the African American lady in the front desk just smirked ... Jesus Christ replace this people now !

Got here well before their stated closing time, but told they were closed so they could clean. Good for cleaning, but do it on your time, not mine. Other reviewers are correct; nobody would go here if it wasn't required to get unemployment payments. My past experience, as now, is they are useless.

The customer service provided by employees here is beyond disappointing. I have had nothing but problems with this program. My card has never worked since receiving it it took 2 months to get a replacement card when I did get the replacement card the activation wont complete making my card non-active in their system. I called in to report these issue and come to find out I was constantly transferred to the wrong case worker and was met with nasty attitudes from the person I was transferred to by their phone operators. Ive requested manager call backs but have failed to be contacted by anyone yet Im being threatened by my case worker to be denied re certification. I need the assistance with daycare but the help is honestly not worth having to deal with bad attitudes and case workers who fail to work the case loads they have. Totally disappointed and still waiting on a callback after months. The program would be great if the case workers just simply did their job

It really saddens me as I m educated and employed and I went to this center for help with childcare. Life happens and you end up in situations that you don t plan for but I feel I have been pushed to the side and have gotten no help. I read a review from someone who said she has had childcare for years and I m trying to figure out how that happens and I m only looking for childcare assistance until I can provide it on my own. I m in a situation where I was informed I would be priority but I ve had no contact from anyone. The system that is set up to help people hinders them and unless you plan on never getting off of assistance then you can t get any help. I have been shifted to multiple people who have yet to return my call.

I currently receive CCS through the workforce, I have been on it for years and overall the customer service and response rates have been poor throughout the entire time and different locations I have been at, but it wasn't bad enough to complain because I know overall Texas doesn't put a sufficient amount of resources into these programs. However it is especially terrible at this location.
I almost never get contacted back by the case workers and the leads and the only option to get in contact with them is by leaving a message, no one is ever available. The person who answers at the front desk is rude and seems to be on a power trip. When I have gone in to the location to pick up an envelope I waited for almost an hour the first time because the person bringing it to the front did not look at their messages notifying them someone was waiting, so the second time I went in I informed the person at the front desk and after about a 20 minute wait I asked if they can call the person. They stated I had not been waiting here long and asked me to sit back down, they would call them in about 10 mins. I ended up waiting an hour in total again.

They have better resources now more than they in the past. There are also some excellent opportunities for training in HUNDREDS of fields. Ask about the WIOA program.
I find their workintexas job tool to be useless for my job search. In the last two times unemployed I have never produced as much as an email or phone call from it. (I spent some time on my presence on the site too.)
The airport office is moving to I35 and rundberg in late June 2019.

What is wrong with black woman not wanting to help and bring each other up. Workers get paid 15.50 a hour to criticise you and put you down. I meet two African American today whom were very rude from eye rolling to discrimination. This is out of control I left the workforce in tears today very angry why not help some if its not affecting your pockets. Why not take the time to listen instead of judge. These people need some training on how to understand ones struggle and listening without judgement

Trying to get child care services from them is like pulling teeth. A lot of misinformation given from their staff, lost paperwork, lack of PROFESSIONALISM and WAITING. How do you expect anyone to work if they have to come to your office multiple times for mistakes made on YOUR end or stuff just simply over looked. Meanwhile every time I visit this location individuals who represent child care services are standing around on phones talking when they could be processing paperwork for I don t know .. the job they get paid for. I ve been on the list for two years and haven t gotten anything but a run around I guess I m not the right skin color to get helped or approved . Don t waste your time calling either they will tell you whatever to get you off the phone and your emails will go to spam .

I was just looking at the reviews while sitting here at the workforce center at the moment. the only good review came from someone that worked there and she popped over my shoulder as I am looking at the reviews with an attitude. I also saw a worker in the resource room flirting with a female patron, lol google never lies. smh great job on the reviews

Sclyna Martin is a very rude caseworker she talks to you unprofessional. I don t appreciate the way she talks I was cordial with her at first trying to get my problem solved but didn t handle the situation professionally. When I told her I don t need her attitude she gonna tell me she not giving me attitude basically cause it s not her money or whatver like what excuse me ? Just because I m getting upset with you dosnt mean you can not be professional. I don t know why they changed my caseworker !

I had a great experience at the north location. I was having issues with technology. I spoke to Ammar Abbas on the phone. He encouraged me to come in and complete the application in person. He spent the better part of an hour helping me with the log on process and with the State of Texas job application. He was very encouraging. I completed two of them for the same agency. I am now very familiar with the process. I feel confident that I can now use the Work in Texas website on my own.

If you don't have a computer at home or if you have very little experience with computers and looking for work then this is a good place to start. There are lots of computers and staff available to help you establish accounts on websites and apply for jobs. Otherwise all of the stuff you can do on your own at home on your own computer
