The museum traces the period of Maurice Denis, so several artists, the "Nabis".
The opportunity to have fun quickly (the museum is small) and often (4.5 entrance).
And the decor of the priory does not harm.
To consume without moderation.
Near Paris. Maurice Denise's fantastic pastel-colored works can be viewed as a decoration and several canvases. The chapel is beautiful because his feelings are fully revealed. Although it feels like an abandoned French monastery with a slightly old feeling, its charm can be seen. A good place to go for a quiet walk.
Beautiful priory from the 17th century, superb post-impressionist collection including a set M
Denis, Perret's workshop
Museum house workshop (former 17th royal hospital) of the painter Maurice Denis with a pretty little garden very pretty chapel that the painter has restored (murals)
We can see works by the group nabis
Cultural activities for children and adults to better understand this avant-garde movement
Small museum but very very interesting for young and old thank you
Great find! Maurice Denis deserves to be recognized again. The museum is great both by the exhibits by location, unique! Free the first Sunday of the month, but otherwise worth every penny.
An intimate place, superb colors in the stained glass windows, a pretty garden
A most beautiful encounter. One of my favourite artists. It's not too much to handle either (you won't get gallery/museum fatigue). Lots of Denis' art, and a small amount of some of the other Nabis. The chapel Denis renovated with his friends in honour of his late wife Marthe is very special, in particular the Stations of the Cross he painted, and the frescoes depicting those who have epitomised each of the Beatitudes.
excellent permanent exhibition very beautiful chapel
Acquired by Maurice Denis in 1914, this former royal general hospital now houses a museum dedicated to the Symbolist & Nabis artist and artists. During his journey, the visitor discovers a magnificent chapel entirely taken over by the artist, a superb decorative ensemble formerly installed in Meudon at Gabriel Thomas ... Free entry for all on the 1st Sunday of the month.
Not much and the garden is empty. To privilege during the summer? Regarding the interior, it's not my style of art.
The works of Maurice Denis in his priory a must perfect harmony place style paintings and furniture from the Nabis period to see garden and park a pure delight
Well maintained and very clean place. Very interesting historical building to visit and well organized and thought out exhibitions.
Museum entirely dedicated to Maurice Denis, current artist of the Nabis. Many stairs not easy to cross by the PMR. The style of the artist likes or does not like ...
Beautiful place to visit with friends or with family
