Nice little resort with decent hill selection. Snow was good but maybe just had higher expectations for a mountain.
Nice little resort with decent hill selection. Snow was good but maybe just had higher expectations for a mountain.
Fun, easy, accessible, and we'll maintained are just a few of the descriptions that make Wilmot and ideal family ski destination for all abilities.
New ownership is doing a great job. Renovations, additions, changes all over
We went on the first day of the 2016-17 season to check out all the new improvements. For those who have been there before, you may recall how tired and worn down this place was. The lift upgrades and new modern snow making equipment are the star of the show. The new chairlifts, while not high spee...
Excellent place to ski and snow tube. They can use more lifts.
Not a skier but the Rugged Maniac Race was great fun. Facilities are very nice, well maintained and beautiful
Hard to compare to places Ski locations around the area. I would say that it is bigger than Villa Olivia/Four Lakes but smaller than Alpine Valley Despite having more runs. While Alpine Valley has less runs, the runs at Wilmot are shorter in length meaning you spend more time on the chair lift than ...
This was my husband s and I s first time snowboarding and this location did not disappoint!!!
Went tubing with my family and I think the staff was too strict. One of the lifts was down which made for longer waiting lines. And the website advertises you may go down with more than one person connected to you in your lane, they didn't let us do that as advertised.
First time in many years... Was great... The investment Epic made in the mountain is clear... From a finish perspective, to the friendliness of the staff, it was a blast to come back to Wilmot...
Maybe a wind baffle at the ticket purchase booth and a bit more instruction/online pre work and so...
Not bad for a day trip to southern Wisconsin. Equipment rentals were nice and the resort was making an effort for people to wear masks and distance where possible. They have quite a few runs but the lift tickets are high for this caliber resort.
Tubing was a lot of fun. The employees were good, they added to the fun.
Remodeled the place and it looks great.nice people and real good prices.
Had a blast at the Rugged Maniac that was hosted at Wilnot Ski Resort!!
The lifts and slopes are fine. In fact, in all the years going there, they've always kept up the runs well. The food area is usually okay. Shut down right now because of you know what (although misleading on the website because it says there is premade food available... it was just chips and cookies...
Since Vail took over a few years ago this place has came to life. The lodge is all new and spectacular. New and larger cafeteria serving a range of tasty snacks and meals. Walt's tavern is a great sit down restaurant that looks out at the hill. Great for thawing out after a long day on the hill. Fri...
Felt pricey for just snow tubing. Other than that the on-site cafe, great shop and all other facilities are good.
Worst experience ever! We paid for a full day of ski school and my kids never moved out of the bunny hill. They had taken lessons before and skied. But we wanted them to get their ski legs ready for the season! The ski instructor told me they were the most "advanced" in the group......but could ...
To be honest this place is over priced for the quality of the "mountain". While you're there expect to spend at least a quarter of your time on the lifts because they are super SLOW and OLD! Customer service is poor too. If you plan on taking a trip here i highly suggest you go to alpine valley inst...
We came early on friday and had to wait 3:45 in line but the sking was fun
Good place to snowboard, but the guy who adjusted my bindings didn't know what he was doing
Customer Service is horrible! Lady called REESE (at lease thats rhe name ahe peovided) hanged up on me without being able to answer simple question about ski school. Has no knowledge about the website to which she reffered me to get rid. Really rude lady!!!!
Gets better each year and as the upgrades get completed. Lighting on the hills are new LED's but they need better aiming and even more of them to eliminate the dark spots near the bottom of the runs. Definitely fun for the kids.
Plenty of trails to choose from. Beginers to experts. Not too long by themselves, but you can go across the mountain the ride will last longer
We went to the tubing hill. It was a Great time!!!!
Make sure to buy lift tickets ahead of time... You will not be able to buy them at the location.
AMATEUR HOUR AT ITS FINEST .
1. You would think that buying tickets only online would give the people at Wilmot a count of the number of people that would be show up on a particular day. Nope. Had to wait ONE HOUR just to pick up lift tickets. Apparently, they were unprepared for the number o...
So much fun but be careful!!!! I very nearly fell into a ditch because the fences aren't too sturdy. Very Good food. A bit pricey of I say so myself. Super cool and a fun place to go!!!
Beginner skier took the class and was amazing !! So patient and helpful
Was very excited to go back to Wilmot for the first time since they were bought by Vail. Don't think that purchased helped at all... Walked in from the parking lot and found no signs, no one to help point us in the right direction, no clear place to go for anything. Once we found it, it was so cr...
Their tubing hill was a blast and the morning flew by!
The food is so overpriced! I bought 2 bags of chips and 2 drinks (for me and my friend) and it was 15 dollars! Are you kidding me?!?! I did have a good skiing experience though.
I really would not spend money here again. Take the extra 30 minutes and drive up to Alpine. Alpine Valley's runs are much longer and seem to be groomed better as well. When there's no natural snow, only a third or so of the hill is open, but they still charge you close to full price. Alpine also ha...
The staff here is really nice. Ski lessons don't help much, but they go over the basics. Overall, a nice place to ski, but the food is overpriced. However you can except that from pretty much every skiing place.
Great local hill. Not a negative thing except for prices have gone up a bit after the multi million dollar upgrade. Still the same old Wilmot barely an hour from Chicago when needed. Great place to learn. Check out 3 day pass that can be used on most any consecutive or non consecutive days. Will sav...
Since Vail took over everything is disorganized and horrible experience. Don't go.
Great place for kids to take professional lessons with certified Vail instructors. .....
The hill is small, but the staff makes this an EPIC place to visit often.
If you sign up for their free membership, you get a discounted rate. All the staff members were nice and helpful. The bunny hill was too flat to ski or snowboard. But they have a variety of different hills especially for beginners. They also have hand sanitizers placed randomly to remind people to p...
My second time going there, pretty awesome we had the rugged Maniac 5k run.
We went tubing. The hill is pretty good. I feel the price for 2 hours is a lot. But there's nothing else close, unless you want to drive another 2 hours to go to Cascade, so they can get away with charging as much as they do.
Normal, 111$ with skis, it's a good resort but the employees are not very helpful, they assume everyone is pro:)
Scott was incredibly helpful!! Had a great time skiing with our group. Lines were long but moved quickly. Would definitely go back.
Super friendly, great to instructors. From 0 to third lesson all 4 of us were on the chairlift having fun.
Love snow when it's 50 degrees outside. You can tell they put money into the place... but didn't fix the driveway in or parking lot
Great place especially for kids who are learning to snowboard
Great staff and the instructor Grant became our son best buddy
Nice for pit outside makes it cosy
Pretty good slopes. We had good quality snow couple days back. So the ski was nice. Flow management at the lift was pretty good. For the rentals it is a little chaotic. For absence of good ski around Chicago, this is not a bad place at all.
Oh yeah, nice place to get a bite to eat with friends. Glass walls show you the good out door view. Just lovely
Great ski school, nice rehab, Walt's is a cool place to hang if you are an adult non-skier. If renting equipment and coming on the weekend, get there really, really early.
We have gone to Wilmot 3 times this year, each trip I had to call Wilmot to change my dates. Both times I called the staff are super friendly Julie & Payton were understanding and took care of crediting back the charges. On the days we have skied the staff in the food court to all the rental staff t...
Great place to ski solo or with your family. The renovated food stations provide variety (don't miss the cheese curds). Great ski school, and many ski lifts.
Decent skiing. Food is good. Nice renovations. However prices are way too expensive a small hill in the Midwest. Rates should not be the same as places out west that's just ridiculous. Also the lift ticket office people always seem rude and standoffish. I inquired about a military rate - the old Wil...
To be honest, I've been to a lot of the ski resorts in wisconsin and never thought too much of Wilmot since it felt like the smallest. But they have a solid terrain park for those learning and saw multiple times of workers enforcing mask rules. It can get packed but it ended up being a good time!
Only gave it 5 stars to make sure the review is seen by as many people as possible - they actual deserve less than 1 Star! The ski store allowed my 13 year old son to make a 200$ purchase for ski goggles on my credit card that I did not authorize. They said they were so concerned as fellow parent...
short and sweet. nice and ice. tubes are fast. winter will be gone before we know. Ski local Ski Wilmot :)
less than half the people were wearing masks properly if at all and no staff was enforcing it. in fact most staff that worked outside had their nose out of their masks on the exhibition lift
Nice slopes but make sure to get there early otherwise the lines are super long
The runs are pretty short and the prices are pretty high for what you get. However the amenities of the resort are impressive for a small Midwestern ski hill.
This place was great and the employees were very kind and a great place for some fun
Beautiful view of skiers. Visited the lodge to listen to the band. Good music. Stayed all night
It used to better before the Vail days. Obviously they redid the lodge and some of the chairlifts which is nice, but it is way too overpriced and crowded now. Wilmot used to be a great, affordable, no frills place to just go skiing and grab a drink at the old bar. Those days are over. On top of t...
Wilmot staff did a wonderful job. Hi and a friend had a little problem with our past and it was rectified immediately.it's almost 75% open and the runs were wonderful. Wilmot should be proud not only of the wonderful location would have a great staff
I waited for 30 minutes to get tickets. I waited for another 2 hours in line to get ski rental. Do yourself a favor and drive to Alpine or Devils head. Do not go to Wilmot... I regret it.
