Nedtrain Loopwerkbedrijf Haarlem

Visited during the open day of the 180-year track in the Netherlands. Impressive all those buildings, halls and trains under maintenance (VIRM in 2019).

Bought a summer tour ticket to travel from Amsterdam South to Den Bosch but nevertheless accidentally checked in with our OV chip card. Upon returning home I immediately called ns and I got a very friendly lady on the line who immediately made it right.
Within 2 weeks the overpaid amount ( 31) will be on my account. How nice! Top service from the ns!

Modern workplace, normally not open to the public, which is actually a missed opportunity. In my opinion, they should offer guided tours here on a regular basis, for example in the weekends.

Here all trains are modernized and restored after collisions.

We had to be there for track maintenance.
So only going up to the track.
We received all cooperation to be able to access it with your car and materials as much as possible.

I ve been here on the open day and it was amazing to know and see how the things work from the inside of NS.

Living in the UK, I'm familiar with the railways over here, so to see how the Nederlandse Spoorwegen's trains are maintained and their upgrade was thoroughly interesting, especially at the Great Western Mainline's being upgraded at the same time!

Visits are normally not allowed. My visit was during the NS Open Day in Haarlem. It was an impressive experience. Trainsets were checked for damage with drones.
