Room looked good. Smelled ok dogs welcomes nice. But found blood splatter on bathroom wall n a blood stain on carpet at door not cleaned. I asked for bleach. Was given air freshener. Language barrier. Then receive a cleaner smelled like a strong pine sol I used the stained towel left in room n cleaner n cleaned it up myself.

First time , last time. Front Desk personnel was unprofessional by assuming that me or my guest sabbatoged the towel linens by smearing poop on them. Not only did Julie at the front Desk state that to my guest but then threatened to charge an additional 25.00 . If Julie or Housekeeping thoroughly investigated the findings perhaps by calling either one of us they would of heard a completely different response. Being the night before Valentine's Day ; chocolate had melted above the heater later to be cleaned with Microtel Inn & Suites linens. Very unprofessional to tell your customers with assumptions and then move forward and charge your CC . The charges eventually we're reversed yet the principle of professionalism was compromised. This complaint will eventually go upward to Corporate.

It was a place to sleep and shower but it was not a very satisfactory experience. The phone in our room didnt work, the water in our tub was brown and spitting up particles, and overall the room didnt seem that clean. It was a cheap place to sleep during our travels, however.

The *first* Microtel apparently. I'm a big fan of this hotel chain, it's the only reason I ever took interest in the Wyndham brand based on my first experience which just so happened to be staying in the other microtel that's in the Rochester area. That hotel was in a different ballpark altogether than other budget hotels, and since then microtel had been my go-to budget hotel that has never disappointed. This location is, according to the sign at the front desk, the original location from 1986. Being a fan of the chain that was really cool to stumble upon - the only reason I chose this one instead of the other one I'd stayed at in the past was slight location advantage this time around and price, about $15 cheaper. I was just dead tired so went with the cheaper of the two. Definitely not nearly as nice as the other location, but for the price I paid I guarantee there's still no other hotel out there that could touch it. I stay at a lot of hotels! Internet was relatively good, front desk was cordial, room was clean and well designed. The design is pretty much the exact same as any other microtel out there except for a few minor items - no padding on the bench, slightly different desk, and the fact that it's obviously older than any of them since it was the first. That said, it's a great design that hasn't been improved on much at all in newer ones. Lighting was great as in all microtels, bed was clean, comfy, with white linens that aren't hiding anything nasty like other budget hotels, and I had both fridge and microwave... If I had my wife with me I'd spring for the other Rochester location for a bit more money (except that she'd want to stay at this one once because it's the original and she's a fan as well), but with just myself passing through i'd stay at this location again without a second thought and get a nicer dinner with the savings!

There was an issue with both the main door and the bathroom door not opening or being really difficult to open. Then the toilet didn't flush. I called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person to the room 2 hours later. Yikes! But at least it's located conveniently by the highway

The price was right for our weekend concert trip. Place was okay. Nothing fancy, a little dingy, but it was a great budget hotel. Staff was friendly. Complimentary continental breakfast was a little lacking but it was a nice optuon to have. Location was great though. Convenient to our destination and some intersting stuff nearby to kill time.

The walls are thin, you can hear your neighbor snoring, when you can't hear your TV and turn it up, but your neighbor is banging on the wall, because they can hear it too...The whole place smells like a bar of cigarettes smell, your wash cloths, towels and everything in your room smells like cigarette smoke, the hall ways...Water pressure is very weak for a shower.
Poor breakfast selection...

BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BEDBUGS will welcome you as you enter the room, I was in Room 129 for 2 nights when complained they have locked the room and found tons of bugs (as per room service staff) and I was moved to room 225 and even there I found bugs were moving freely, I left my 3 pairs of dresses in room and checked out, This is one of the worst hotels I have ever been in, I have booked this through Expedia, I have been calling them to complain about this. I don't get any response. I have told all my colleagues who frequently travel to Rochester not to get into this Motel. I had to suffer those bites for almost couple of weeks. The previous day before checkout I was informed I will get 25% discount for being bedbugs guest, but during checkout they said, get well and see you soon!! Worst management, Worst staff, Manager is seen very rarely on the property and is very rude.

The good: friendly desk staff and mostly clean room. The bad: Room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room, TV worked somewhat but then we couldn't get it to go off, toilet seat rocked when you sat on it, a/c cycled off for just a couple minutes and then would start up again, and, as others have noted, the room was not very soundproof so we heard lots of various kinds of noises over the course of the night.

Old beat up rooms and spotted linens. Every noise from outside and upstairs echos. Paint peeling and shower moldy. When I mentioned the spotted linens the desk person at checkout said she would "note that for me" . What does that mean? Did a priceline and got stuck here. Last time I got extended stay america but got this place instead. The 2 associates at check in were very friendly.

The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. It's nothing special, but when we are just passing through and need a bed its affordable. The location feels safe, it's near a police station and across from a fancy car dealership. I've stayed here for years with no problems.

Will never stay here again. Was suppose to get a Queen Bed Mobility Accessible and it wasn't. The phone and TV did not work. They ended up giving us a Double bed regular room. The clerk at no time wore a mask. Carpet was torn and had stains on the walls. The heater did not work properly. Found a dead bug in the room, meaning they did not vacuum between customers.

We went to this hotel for 2 nights. The price was there, Sunday-Tuesday was $93. Upon arrival the room seemed clean and updated. However, in our first floor room we had baby ants on our nightstand. Making it impossible to leave things out, we always had to be ready for that. Other than that the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.

Clean and maintained staff was rude late in evening because of 1 complaint on noise on second floor. They seemed put off wanting to change rooms. Stair pounding noise right over 145 the lady at night said well wait until the morning. That would have been too LATE

First off, let me say that the general manager was a very nice man and accommodating to the best of his ability. The other staff were standard, but not bad. The outside looks clean and nice, and the lobby/breakfast area were clean and in pretty good shape. There are also plenty of channels available on their room tv. The problems pertained to the cleanliness of the actual room...

1. There were stains and hair on our bedding. Even after asking it to be changed, we came back and it was just as bad. When we were put in another room it was also bad there. Gross.

2. The halls smelled of horrible old smoke....and so did our room which was supposed to be non-smoking.

3. There was a clump of hair in our bathroom tub drain and scattered on the shower walls. There was also no soap left in the room at all, and we had to go downstairs and ask for it.

4. The hair dryer was broken in our room.

5. There were inappropriate messages and images drawn on the bathroom mirror. They were invisible until I took a shower and the room fogged up....meaning that they were never clean to begin with.

I understand that it s a cheap hotel, and I wasn t expecting updated furniture or even a tv with full cable. All I was looking for was a clean place to stay....even just a clean bed. However, it wasn t clean at all and I felt uncomfortable the entire time I was in my room. Hopefully, if you decide to stay here, you have better luck than me and my husband!

The room wasn t bad but it appeared that they didn t vacuum around the bed or around furniture cuz it was very dirty. Also I left behind a couple items and called to ask if they found them. After calling for 4 days in a row because no one had any idea what TO do they haven t found my belongings..... never again will I stay at this hotel more so this location!!!!!!

Just to let you know what you might be in for...We asked for extra blankets for our son, and were told that was not ONE available. There was no hot water nor coffee cups at the continental breakfast and not enough food for the 20 people in a room that should accommodate 10. We left in haste.

This place was dirty and disappointing. Hand prints all over the walls, dirt crusted on the bathroom floor, noisy neighbors; the only good thing about this place was the price. It's barely even worth the price we paid, though. Our room didn't even have an iron, which we really needed since we were in a wedding that weekend. All other Microtels we have ever stayed in were very nice, this has been the only exception. This place needs some serious updates and a thorough cleaning.

Very dirty, rooms were tiny and unkept. Lacked any signs of maintenance. Half the lights in our room were 5500-6000K color temperature, the other were 3000K (you generally want a warmer color temperature for living spaces). It made the room uncomfortable. I definitely would avoid.

Worst stay possible. First night fire alarm was pulled twice. Did not notice the fridge wasnt working till late next day lost all food plus medication. That needed to be kept cold. Third day on check out none of the staff were wearing masks this included maintenance and chamber maids. Will never stay here again.

Maintenance man came into my room by using his key to unlock the door while I was relaxing from a long trip. Assistant Mgr question me and made me feel cheap when she thought I requested a price match when actually the receptionist offered it to me. Two day stay resulted to two nights of loud noises and profanity frequently shouted from the room above me till 1am. Management's response childish and sophomoric.

Completely disgusting, the room smelled like ass and crack rocks, I wore my sneakers anytime I had to hop out of the bed because of how disgusting the carpets were. Everything in the room is macguyver d, poorly built and I ll reiterate: filthy! Never again, and never worth the 75 bucks, motel 6 is like a 5 star compared to this. I couldn t believe I was in Brighton/ Henrietta!
