I've stayed at other microtel and this is by far the most horrible one. We were never told they were under renovation which is not a problem,it definitely needs it. Everyday we'd come back to the room housekeeping never showed up. People leaving dirty towels and garbage in the hallway. No outlet covers on some outlets. And the list goes on. I hope people read this before booking a room.

Although the staff were very helpful, the facility had several shortcomings. Stained sheets and a very mildewwed bathtub made for an uncomfortable visit. This location was under renovation during my stay, so I am hoping there will be improvements soon. No refrigerator or microwave. The breakfast was about average and the location is just off I-90.

It is filthy. I would attach pictures if possible. My room wasn t even cleaned. There is/was a toothpick and a a large fingernail right in the middle of the floor. I put a sleeping bag on my bed to sleep, because it looked so dirty. I m on my way to speak to the manager. This place would be dangerously dirty even if we weren t in a World pandemic.

I would have given them a zero if I could. First we found BED BUGS in the bad, the room had plaster falling off the walls, paint chipped all over the walls, stains on the sheets and pillows and the bathroom floor was sticky. Asked for another room but they had none available. We checked out 10 minutes after we checked in and they had the nerve to charge us for the room. Had to return two more time to argue with management before they agreed to credit account. NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION

I was robbed!!
My prescription meds were stolen with no sign of break in. When l reported it to the desk l was told no supervisory staff were available. I went to my room and attempted to call 911, but got only a busy signal. I had to go to the desk to have the staff person call on my behalf.
Only person who had access was housekeeper.

This is a one star hotel at best. If you are ok with hair on the towels in the bathrooms, pubic hair on the sheets, and paper thin walls, then go ahead and book a room. Front desk people were nice but cannot fix anything. Vending machines were empty so they told us to just go to Tim Hortons next door. This place reminded me of a run down youth hostel. It's in a prime location, but is basically a flea bag hotel. We stayed at a Microtel before and assumed this one would be ok based on the brand. We didn't stay more than one night...never again!

I want to start by saying I LOVED this hotel at one point until now. I have poured hundreds into this establishment since February of 2020. I have been staying here on and off since the pandemic began because of homelessness. This last trip lasted about two and a half weeks. I paid by the day and they were very accommodating. Upon waking up I realized my check had not come and went down to explain I'd need some time to figure something out. Now, I didn't ASK the GM, he OFFERED to allow me to pay at LATEST the next morning for the day since I'm always paying on time and been pretty consistent and not a bother to them. I thanked him and said it'd most likely be before then I just need to figure out what is going on with my bank. After calling all day to see what the issue was, I came to the conclusion it wasn't going to be a simple fix so I called a friend while my husband picked up a night shift under the table and the friend offered to pay what we owed in the morning. When he called to pay in the morning before his meeting at work, he explained the woman was rude and refused to take payment over the phone without an extra authorization being signed etc. And said he'd have to do it later as he was late. I called down to explain and she said okay. Two hrs go by (which wasn't unusual they kinda have always just let me come down and pay whenever I had time) and a woman knocks on the door loud as hell about 2xs and tries to burst in the room lucky we had latch on and weren't naked or something. Now they knew the situation and so when she VERY RUDELY asked about payment my husband stated to her that we hadnt paid it YET and she persisted to speak over him and very rudely. She said she'd call the GM (who now that I look at it isn't too professional seeing he made arrangements with a guest knowing he would not be at work next day, leaving some other staff to deal with it if issues arose), and then HE STARTS to get rude on the phone. At this point we had already packed our stuff because the agreement between us was non-payment by morning=we leave. We had a payment for them, my husband had just got back from an overnight shift around 12. Had the woman not been rude not caused a fuss, we'd have went right down and paid. Instead we chose to leave. All the other negative reviews are not wrong either, the fire alarm blares all night for no reason, the hall ALWAYS smells like weed, and people fight all night long. We needed a place to stay, and finding a home at this time is hard, and unfortunately miscommunication and hostility led to us NEVER wanting to stay here again. They proceeded to call the cops as if they would do something more and I had to once again cry and pour my life out to more people about why I needed just a little time. We packed an Uber and went right across the street to a new hotel. 52-70$ a night I guess was really worth arguing about putting out a family over. I understand they are a business but I just needed a few hrs over check out time to pay them for the night prior and the next night as well as RESPECT. Shame.

Room smelled so bad we couldn't breathe. When asked to be moved to another room we were told none were available. So we asked for a refund and the management said we would have to take it up with the corporate office. Don't make a reservation or stay there it's a dump.

I've stayed here several times and never had any issue but my most recent stay was not very comfortable as my room had a really bad stale smell, and wasn't very clean. I later discovered the smell was being caused by the AC unit leaking into the carpet ??? And the carpet all around the AC unit was damp. Microtel prices are unbeatable and I've never had a problem like this before at this very same location. I'll probably stay again but if I have another bad experience I will probably go somewhere else in the future.

Booked room thru Expedia and pics are so misleading. They forget to show that all the carpets are stained, don't mention only 3 out of 10 outlets in the room work, or show the crazy people yelling in the hallways. But seriously I could deal with all that but when I went upstairs to find the only ice machine in the building, which is seriously caving thru the floor and will kill somebody when the floor finally gives, the whole floor had that awesome marijuana smell and haze you want in your hotel. Initially I'm thinking, whatever, maybe management doesn't know . But when leaving the hotel for another the next morning the whole lobby smelled like weed too. Blower dryer mount came off the wall. fridge didn't work and when asking the front desk girl she said to ask someone working tomorrow. Oh yeah when checking in some guy and his paid lady friend were checking in and he had his 40 ounce sitting on the counter when signing paperwork. I'm pretty easy going but I'd pick another place to stay unless you're ok with all the above.

Was there 20 minutes trash in the hall ways up the stairs! Rooms smelt like cigarette smoke air conditioner smelt like it was burning piss stains and hair on the sheets then they refused to give us a refund because we moved the blanket on the bed! Major health code and building code violations. Health department is going to have a field day with that place!

The Microtel in Rochester/ Henrietta was the worst hotel we experienced during our trip through several states. It was over priced with a horrible "breakfast" and the morning person had an attitude. More importantly, it was filthy with left over human residue everywhere and the building was run down and "shabby". If you have no where else to stay, save your marriage and keep driving.

Other than the two maids slugging in the morning in the lobby -- which required 3 police officers to settle -- it was a decent stay. Make sure you ask for one of the renovated rooms and do NOT take the optional maid headlock or powerbomb move. Let them do that to each other.

This is a very basic place but everything was clean and worked and the staff was kind and pleasant, so what more do you want from a $50 hotel room? We came in pretty late and were just looking for a place to stay for the night on a long road trip. Room smelled fine and the bathroom and bed were clean. Basic free breakfast that was tasty. Area seemed fine too.

There was an unfortunate occurrence in the middle of the night which is why I knocked stars off. Whoever checked us in put the wrong number into the computer so when somebody else came in at like 2 am they rented out that number because the staff had changed at midnight and the new staff person of course would not know which rooms were taken except by what the computer says. We were woken up at 2 am by someone trying to open the door (we had the inside lock on though). I was like "Uhhhh hello?" and the man was very surprised to see someone in the room of course! He apologized and then went back to the office to work things out. I got a call on the phone to verify who I was and yea, then it was fine after that and we got back to sleep, but it was very annoying to get a scare like that.

The room was "okay" but the water was very slow to drain in tub, making showers not so nice because of standing water. Also, I believe I had a "family" above me one night (I booked six nights) and I had a terrible time getting any rest as someone was running back & forth at 11pm but this isn't the establishment's fault

Disgustingly dirty. We had to get our own sheets to sleep on. Drove 8 hours for a funeral. We were tired and exhausted or we would have immediately checked out. Canceled the rest of our stay this am and checked into a nice clean hotel. Do not waste your time or money with this place!

Upon arriving this place smelt very disgusting. As me and my guests were walking to our room we noticed that a dog had defected in the hallways and it was not cleaned. Once we got to our room I noticed our TV was not working so I asked the man downstairs why. He gave me a brief explanation that i just had to change the input which I did, and still nothing so we just decided not to watch TV. Once we left I remembered that I had left a gold necklace on the nightstand in a very obvious spot and called (maybe 5 hours after check out) to have it sent back to me. They told me nothing was left and they had found nothing of the sort. When going over the bill we noticed we were charged an extra $50 for breaking the TV. Do not come here unless you want your belongings stolen, to step in dog feces, or to be charged for something you were not responsible for.

I don't know how this property recieved more than one star. It is run down with tremendous odors including pot and urine.
The carpet from the moment you walk in is stained black. We had to immediately switch rooms since the lay down area against the window was missing the complete pad and smelled of urine. When we walked out toward the desk to report it, we noticed the stained pad/bed lying in the hallway along with an entire mattress set.
The man at the desk wanted to upcharge for ammenities that are standard at almost every other hotel. Ex; microwave and mini fridge.
You would think since we were inconvenienced hed do a free upgraded room, but no. Inside the room was a broken mini desk peeling away, stained pad/mini bed, odorous shower, outdated wall hangings and wallpaper. I've never seen anything this bad and I've been in lower end hotels before. The man was well informed I'm physically disabled yet there is nothing there to acomodate that.
He kept me on the first floor forcing me to walk up two flights of stairs everytime I needed ice. Since we had no fridge this was often. God forbid he upgrade us to the second floor.
I actually was afraid to fall asleep due to the type of people this hotel attracts.
Pay the extra 10$ and go up the road. You'll be glad you did

I have never stayed in such a pathetic hotel like Microtel INN my life. I checked in room 247, used bathroom once, second time it got locked from inside. To get the help it took 15 minutes. Cigaratte smell across the hallway also inside the non-smoking room. If you have kids, strictly avoid this hotel, even they offer you a free stay. Waste of money. Never to Microtel again in my life.
