I was thinking of switching to this company. So I came to look at reviews and there are a lot of great reviews. Although, on the few negative reviews the owner is very combative. Reviews are not just for current customers. I can know someone who has this service, like I do and he s told me great things about the service. I took it upon myself to do further research. The lack of compassion or effort to resolve issues with the people that have been writing the lower starred reviews is blowing my mind right now. This act of unprofessionalism is just a warning for the rest of us that were thinking of purchasing this internet service.

I too am not a customer yet...was considering changing cause I hate Cox.
Having read the reviews it appears that visitors are catered to, while locals are treated as 'less than'. So, much as I want to change, this company doesn't look like the one to provide a big difference. Too bad....

After reading the reviews on LV Net, I chose to go with this company over Cox for internet service. I regret it now. I've only had the service for less than two months and I can't tell you how many times I've had to call technical support because my internet keeps cutting out. If it doesn t cut out, the service is slow and videos need to buffer. I don't do any gaming or anything that extensive. I just go on the internet and stream Netflix or Amazon. I don t have multiple devices on just maybe the TV or computer and my phone. Yet, I can't get reliable service from LV Net. This last time that I called, the tech tried to place the blame of my bad internet service on me or my usage and router. That was it. I'm done. They referred me to customer service. Now, it seems I'm locked into a year contract I didn't know about. Ugh. If you're thinking of using LV Net for residential use, do your research. I thought I did. I regret my choice.

Early this morning (Sunday August 30th) I had to conduct business online and I found out that I had no internet connection. I tried several times to contact customer service but the phones were down, and the website was down when i tried to use my cell phone to reach them. After doing that I then looked at the customer reviews for LV.Net to see if anyone else posted the same issue. And after reading the reviews I noticed a response from someone named Jennifer, and in that response she left a phone number. I assumed it was her work phone number and planned on leaving a voicemail so she could get back to me on a business day (Monday). But when I called her number she answered me in a tired voice as if she just woke up. I was surprised that it was her personal phone number and that she would pick up the phone at 5:17 AM. I explained the situation and she said she would investigate the issue and call back, after five minutes she called back and told me there was a nationwide internet issue. She told me she would keep in touch in case there were any updates, she called three times to inform me about the issues and updates. I am grateful for this service and for Jennifer's help, I did not expect an employee to wake up at 5:17 in the morning and help me through this situation. Kudos Jennifer and LV.Net!

The speeds arent the fastest, and you can't have an open NAT type. The service is reliable though, even through storms. Something else to be aware of. If you accept the contract for a year, and 6 months in decide you want to up your speed, your contract starts over for another year. If you want to cancel, its a 200$ disconnect fee. Customer service is a plus. They'll work with you to meet your needs.

Terrible customer service. Takes over an hour to restore someone's service. Like they have to send someone out to flip a switch. Its all computer controlled. It makes zero sense to have a customer wait an hour for a ticket to go through a system when you can reactivate my acount through computer. My money was taken immediately why does it take an hour for my internet to be " turned on". Managers are just as rude and short tempered as the customer service reps. I wouldn't take my business here if I had an option but unfortunately they are they only provider for my area. What a joke of a company.

Speed and quality are great, my son is a gamer. And lag is never an issue. 5/1 worked for the whole house. We put the Xbox at the top of the QOS. So everyone was happy.

Install prices are step, but the time to complete a point to point radio install that will stand up against Las Vegas winds should not be done haphazard.

Never had their service but I do hear that they have fast speed service but for me the down side is that they want you to give $100 for the installation fee and then on top of that 65 or $75 to start the service to me I feel like why are you paying for the services when you haven't even used it for the 30 days I feel like you shouldn't have to pay the 65 or $75 till the following month now a 100 dollars for the installation granted that should be paid up front but to have to come out the pocket 165 or 175 that's a big chunk just to start services so I see why people settle for CenturyLink like I did I was going to cancel my service but after calling today I said never mind im going with CenturyLink....And to your comment below it's States give a review just because I'm not a customer doesn't mean I can't give my opinion so this was just an opinion I wasn't giving you guys a bad review I was just speaking the experience I had to try to become a customer

Excellent customer service to help with my company's cloud services. I go inside when I have questions, sometimes call, their receptionist welcomes to us with coffee. The servers have never let our techs down. I am grateful for the 24 hour service. Marty runs a great wireless Internet service that provides Internet all over Nevada.

I have home service. Horrible customer service. Calls and emails are not returned. Connection speeds are slow and inconsistent. If you want decent service you will have to get a business account for $200 a month. Beware, if you cancel your account for poor quality service (and you will want too) you will have to pay 50% of the remaining monthly service charges ($50 a month and 1 year contract). I was charged $200 unexpectedly when I cancelled (its in extremely small print at the bottom of the agreement) and non functional internet is not a opt out reason apparently. Do yourself and find yourself a better ISP...any ISP is better IMHO.
Also,
The first and second month of service cost $115 each because you have to pay for the installation and setup (they put a little dish on your roof).
All this for a real world speed 2-3mbs connection...that didn't work a portion of the time.

I was so happy to finally find Internet when I was visiting Las Vegas. Thank you for taking my call and helping me out with the new move to Downtown. I really appreciate your great customer service at the Nevada Business Meeting with your government affairs representative.

Internet is not at all what I expected! I can t even send out a text message without being kicked off the internet :(.
Customer service was extremely nice but no help to get $125 worth on nothing and locked into a service contract. As bad as Hughesnet was, at least I had everything running (slow but running)
I m literally GIVING $125 every month for NOTHING! Sad

After tiring of internet service companies who--when you have a problem--usually send you to some call center in Singapore or the Philippines--I decided to go local with LV.Net. Whether it's business or residential, these guys are by far the best. The other day, they even called me to let me know I could have a potential problem with my antenna, and could they come out at fix it at no cost? Calling the customer before I even know I have a problem? Who does that? LV.Net does.

I have the lowest speed they have to offer and it works well for that but I may need to upgrade with all the people using it. Regardless, it's excellent when I'm on it alone. I've talked to Frederick most of the time when I was having issues and he has done an excellent job addressing my concerns!

LVNET is where I get all my internet services, including ISP. I have to have high speed internet because I am constantly online to market my modeling brand. I really enjoy how easily accessible help is and I'm glad Thomas has recommended this to me. I will definitely be telling my friends and coworkers about it!!

The internet service for Residential is very slow and never at full wifi potential its always 4 bars or less. Tried calling to cancel service was told you have to send a email. Once I heard that I knew it would be some bs to follow. Apparently you will have to pay to get out of your contract. Despite being charge 100 for installation and a additional up front bill to start the service. Thats 145.00 in total for me. To buy out your contract which is stated very small. This is something that should be in bold. I should not have to zoom in on important things such as the cancellation policy and literally have to locate where it is on the contract. I am very dissatisfied with the service. Do what you can to avoid this internet provider.
