Until the other day I had never been to a Micro Center. I live over an hour away and was wary about traveling so far for what seemed like a Best Buy. Boy was I wrong! The other day, I tried to build my own computer and couldn't finish. They took the corpse of my half finished gaming rig and breathed life into it. They even installed the OS and driver's in less then 3 hours. The integrated LEDs look amazing as well. I also picked up a 22in monitor as a secondary display. The sales staff were very knowledgeable and polite. The service manager Yonas was amazing. He was kind enough to ensure I received prompt, same day, service even though he didn't have to. I would be more then willing to make the trip to get computer supplies in the future.

I usually love this place for all my computer needs but today I had to deal with the cashiers that seemed like they didn't want to cash me out. Didn't want to offer bags for all my stuff and the other cashier looked like he was sleeping on the register. Never had such attitude from anyone before and this was a first for me.

Great staff and technical support. The service center was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came to my laptop's problem.

Went there for a friend, the staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They stayed until 10 in order for us to finish our transaction, when the store closes at 9, and after all that wait we were unable to successfully complete the transaction, so they made sure to keep all of our items together and marked so that we can come back the next day to purchase it. The store itself, is very organized and clean, aisles marked clearly, so it's not very hard to find what you're looking for. Prices are great as well, with a good variation of price points for similar products/product groupings, compared to other places you may find the same items, you can't beat Micro Center. All around great experience.

Love this place! I can spends hours in here. I have to watch how long I m in there sometimes because I sure can get distracted. Wish they had more photography & videography equipment but that s why we have Hunt s Photo.

Great part for your internet technical computer networking engeneering needs

Good selection, but the reason to shop here is for the service received.They have a fantastic returns policy, and they can even be a bit flexible with return time-limits if you aren't rude or manipulative. Some employees are more technically knowledgeable than others, but compared to places like Best Buy they're a lot more experienced, in addition to having a pretty reasonable selection of more specialty DIY and homebrew hardware supplies.

The only place to get certain specialty items in house

The only place of it's kind in an Amazon world. I was asked if l needed help by three different associates. Excellent inventory. Some of their items are priced quite well.

Fair prices, literally anything you could need, staff is very pushy to earn their commission but I understand where they re coming from.

The prices are correct, have the newest hardware at low end through high end. Great service as well.

Be prepared to get approached by a sales rep

If you're going to buy any sort of electronics or PC related equipment Micro Center is the place to go. MOST of the staff actually knows what they're talking about and aren't just trying to sell you on b.s. that you don't actually need. The employees are going to help you find what you really need, not what puts the most money in their pocket.

They will price match any major retailer and their return policy is great. I thank god everyday for blessing us with a Micro Center in Cambridge.

Not worth the savings or the long drive from Rhode Island. I bought an ivy bridge cpu with motherboard from microcenter. The motherboard was dead on arrival. It did not turn on. So i sent a relative to take it back and replace it. They were all sold out and gave him another board for extra $20. The 2nd motherboard was also bad. So I go myself to replace the 2nd board. This time they tell me it was my fault and will not replace the board. I had receipt and everything.

btw I tried calling them to get suppport for their damage products.They never pick up the phone. I don't know why they even list a phone number.

Horrible. Don't buy here. Bought a tablet with keyboard as well as the damage replacement plan. Got it home and all set up but keyboard wouldn't connect. Went back right away to try to get it repaired or replaced, they refused and service manager berated me until they forced me to return it. I said "what about the replacement plan?" He said "legal language just says we have to give you money back!" No way, never again.

Customer service sucks to the point I'd rather pay full retail then dealing with them. Nobody answers their phones what so ever. I give them 1/2 a star for customer service only because I'm being kind and it's almost new years. Today at 50 years of age I learned a true lesson, when you shop for cheap you deal with cheap sloppy stores.

Pretty much every computer part or accessory you would ever need

Purchased Lenovo laptop. Price was great. Pickup process at store was slow, signage misleading.

Great staff -- you might pay less online but you won't get free consulting on Amazon. Been building and upgrading rigs between these guys and Newegg for years.

Nerd heaven. I come from Rhode Island just for this store. Great prices and has everything you need to build your next PC

Has any PC part you might need. Is able to price match competitors so that you get the best deal and has knowledgeable staff.

Full service local computer store. Technically, they are a chain with about a dozen stores in multiple states, but they still have that local store sort of feel

They have a good selection of cables and such. However, the cashier pushed me to enroll in some kind of warranty program and didn't listen when I said I wasn't interested, explaining it would boost his ratings. Weird.

Staff are friendly. Items are well organised, easy to find. Don't have the latest Lenovo laptop on display.

Really good place to get your technology gadgets. Knowledgeable staff and good prices. when they have sales, prices are amazing.

This is the ultimate store for geeks. We were able to get a $899 IPad Pro 10.5 for $659. I bought Asus laptop that lasted for over 6 years. It was able to run the newest software.

so bad, I don't give any star. Today was the first time I went on micro center Boston, so terrible attendance, support 0 , I received a attendance looks like the person was ignoring me, without any attention from a tall white guy with the appearance of German, if you see somebody like that on there, so I recommend looking for another clerk.

I'm building a gaming pc just for gaming, bought something from amazon, and the rest on micro center, But it feel very frustrating my purchase over there. I don't think I will return on this store no more. I'd rather continue my computer 'n electronics purchases on amazon.

Rush place and careful in the parking lot or ur car might get damaged by others

Can not beat the cpu/mobo combos here the rest of the stuff you have to watch for deals mostly but lot of quality parts and they are good about returns.

Massive amount of tech stuff computers, storage, accessories, supplies, cameras, gadgets, cables, kits, TVs, used & recycled, &c. Build THE baddest gaming system from components.
You may need to hunt & check prices which may be mislabeled but are very good. Found 1 of 3 staff knew their stuff & were helpful.

Anthony loves it. If you're a tech person, this is a Wonderland for you. The prices are very competitive.

I bought a laptop for my daughter in march along with a accidental damage plan. Turns out we needed it and brought it back on 12/29/15....I was promised a call back within 5 days....
but at nearly a month later, still nothing from Micro-center, so I decide to call.

After 2 infinite hold sessions, (I give up after 16 minutes) I get a pickup on my third try.
Oh-Oh... looks like they misplaced the laptop. Now I am losing my patience.

The upshot is the service rep has good phone manners, seems genuinely concerned and is trying to help. Thank You !!!

How much do u guys cost for. Screen repairs. I have a. Acer Nitro 5.

had some unfortunate issues with my own build. had no clue why it wouldn't boot brought it in and within the same day they had an answer. No the first time I have had to come to them for service. They have THE best customer service. They also do THE best work. I would recommend the services they offer 10/10 times. The selection of parts and misc. Electronics is insane as well.

honestly it's a nice looking place until you get 4 disfunctional motherboards from them and they MAKE you drive all the way out there each time because they don't let you test the products. 0/10 never go again until I refund this dumb broken motherboard...

Great place! I got all the parts for my computer here. All staff very nice and helpful. Prices were actually better than any other stores that I checked and they have a great selection of items. I highly recommend this place.

Was my go to place, bought on 250 dollar Asus monitor from this place about a month ago. Cashier asked me if I wanted a warranty that covered everything which I said yes. Now I have a scratch on the screen and I come to swap it out and they tell me it's not covered. Are you kidding. Wasted my time and money here. Go to Best buy people.

Took my MacBook Pro to fix it they said it s gonna cost over a thousand dollars I was like naaa I ll just keep it and I ll use a wireless keyboard. Their prices way way to much Apple didn t even charge me half that price. So I would recommend everyone to go to Apple first if you have a problem with your MacBook they check for free too micro center charge you 40 bucks for checking it.

Staff is knowledgeable and don't force "extras" like some of the big chain stores. Have bought PCs to TV's and have always been treated respectfully.

I call this place the forgetten gem for geeks . Unlike best buy everyone in every department is very knowledgeable and helpful . If you going to build a PC go and ask for Cairo

Love this store. You can find almost anything the home geek would want, and if you can't find it, a helpful employee will go out of his or her way to dig it out for you.

My favorite place to shop for computer equipment. Beats new egg and amazon any day of the week!

I've been coming here for years. Once i learned how to build my own PC I've always gone to this store. Very knowledgeable staff and always find what i need. I do have one complaint, nothing to do with microcenter, it seems like once a year i need to replace my GPU as they keep failing. Not sure why, but it doesn't seem to matter what brand i get either. I'm here today for that reason. New GPU here i come!!!!

They have a good selection of computer parts. The staff can be pushy, rude, and very uninformed.

I needed an unusual wire, that is often counterfeited. And I wanted it right now. They had it. They have like 3 aisles of wires, so they prob have whatever unusual electronic item you need. They were really helpful also. So many wires you can get lost, but they guided me to the exact place. They are also very knowledgeable about the complex speciality products which is very rare in retail these days.

Best random electronics shop in Boston area. If there is a component you need, strange adapter, replacement parts, this is the place to go!

Always someone there to help. Honest answers in service dept too.

Most stuff is cheaper here, but still check around as I always find some things cheaper elsewhere.

Microcenter is a place of wonder. A place that fulfills all of your wildest hopes, dreams, and fantasies. A place where you can put together the greatest rig so long as you have a thick wallet. Great selection of products. Great prices, but "deals" on top of these prices are rarely available. Check for a motherboard/chip combo deal or a graphics card/game deal. Other prices are hard to beat and even if you find it on amazon cheaper, they match it. Amazon delivers quick, but having it immediately is better! The staff is fantastic. I've gone in with numerous questions about the most random of products and they almost always have someone that knows exactly what you're looking for (down to specific details). If they don't have the answer, they will find someone who does. Most of the staff work on commission, so please be sure to get the name of anyone that helps you out! I don't work here, but I've done more than enough business here to know.

They have very good and attentive sales people. They really help you figure out best options.

The staff is very helpful and know their stuff. If you're building your own PC, they have some great bundle deals, cheaper than anything I could find online.

Although it is not a huge store, it has best variety of consumer and smaller business tech gear in the area -- most brand names plus lower cost alternatives. Great variety of components for DIY build-your-own computers -- motherboards, processors, RAM, drives, and all the other bits and cables. Knowledgeable sales people. Best deals are the "factory-refurbished" and the "open box" laptops, desktops, etc. ("open box" means somebody retuned a laptop or whatever and MicroCenter wiped the drive and reinstalled windows or whatever).

Their service department is way over priced and shady. I brought a case in, bought $600 worth of parts in their store and the service department wanted like $299 to install just the motherboard - nothing else into an empty mid ATX case. That's outrageous. I returned all the parts I had just bought and will never go back to that store. I've spent thousands of dollars on parts there, but never used the service department. Avoid the service department unless you like grossly overpaying.

If it's broken, Micro Center can fix it!!! I'm not tetchy person, yet they make me feel welcomed.

Generally excellent prices on computer related gear.

The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating! I came into the store at 12pm to get data recovery for my water damaged computer and by 6pm that afternoon my computer/data were ready to be picked up! The price for this service was also very reasonable.

A gadget nerd's paradise. They have literally every piece of random electronics you could possibly need.

They have all of the things. Even thermal paste. I nearly wanted to buy everything
