The land shook with the monumental experience that was dinner at Faultline.

We were looking for a romantic evening out before taking in a comedy show at Rooster T. Feathers and decided on Faultline as it appeared to be a gem in the sea of mediocre strip malls and taco shacks that is Sunnyvale.

We started off by ordering 5 of the sample sized beers (each sample runs $1.25) so that we could understand the lay of the land. We ordered the hefe, the pale ale, the stout, the golden ale seasonal, and the Belgian abbey ale. Our waiter actually also brought us a smaller size sample of their kolsch.

All of the beers had great flavor and we would have enjoyed drinking any of them with dinner, but for our money we went with the kolsch. It had a wonderful crisp taste that was full bodied and delicious.

For dinner we decided that we would split a salad and each order one of our own entrees. The FBC House Salad had a tantalizing description and although we're not a huge fan of asian style dressings it was a great choice. For $8 there was an ample portion size with a great mix of greens and veggies. The dressing actually turned out to be the highlight-- nice and light with just enough taste to bring each bite to life.

For the entree I went with the fish and chips. Not the most sophisticated of choices, but I love a good fried fish. It's hard to do anything exceptional with fish and chips, but the dish was very strong overall. The fries were just crispy enough and well seasoned and the fish was done perfectly.

I managed to steal a few bites of my girlfriend's Chick Pea & Lentil Dal dish-- it seemed great, but I didn't eat enough to really vouch for it.

Would definitely recommend this place! We'll be taking family when they're in town as the decor is beautiful and they even had light, live music!

Quick Service, well-crafted beers. Great environment

We arrived at 7:40 pm on a weeknight, so it wasn't that crowded. It was our first time at Faultline and we really looked forward to our new experience. The greeting was polite, the seating was great, the jazz trio was a great accompaniment. Our waiter, though fairly new, was spot on with his recommendations; the Gouda mac & Cheese and the perfectly cooked cheese burger. Now we originally went to Faultline Brewery for the flights of beer and an appetizer. Those beers were amazing. The appetizer that was suggested to us by our waiter, the Thai Chili wings, were phenomenal. All and all, a great experience that we would recommend to all of our friends.

The place is with lots of space.
Got a small pond in the back creating a nice atmosphere dining over there.
Food is not bad.

I have been there about 5 times. The decor is pretty generic, the service is OK, the beer is OK. Parking is good.

I only went to the bar, so I cannot speak for the food. I ordered the beer flight which was okay, not great. The restaurant and bar were very crowded and it was a Wednesday night, but the service was still pretty good. I wouldn't make this a normal hangout of mine, but it was okay for a night.

The service is nice and attentive, the place is big and spacious but the food is so bland, tasteless and not good.

Food was just okay. If you are going to charge extra for fries, make sure they are good, not chewy. Service wasn't good. When a customer puts down a menu it usually means they are ready to order. Not having to wait 20 minutes before the waitress decides to finally come around and take your order.

Great place to have lunch meetings and good food and fast service! it's has a great patio area that overlooks a man made pond with ducks, it is very relaxing!! good service :)

Very nice place for an evening. Beer is absolutely the highlight. The service is attentive and flexible (we were 2, then 7, and we were kindly accompanied by the table of 2 to that of 7 without formalities or remarks inappropriate). Two small regrets: the Kasseler who was more an American barbecue chop than the real German Kasseler and the car park. A very good experience to redo.

A hidden gem nestled in the commercial districts of Sunnyvale, Faultline Brewing Company is a great place to stop by if you are in the area. They brew all their own beers and have a very wide selection, including a couple seasonal and Nitro beers, which are always exciting to try. If you are new to Faultline they frequently have Groupons and deals to get the beer sampler on the cheap, which is a great way to see all the different beers they have on tap. I haven't eaten here too many times, but when I have it's always been decent. The beer though is the main reason I'd come back again though.

I ve eaten here a couple of times while visiting the area. I don t drink alcohol so I can only comment on the food. It is good but there is not a very big menu to choose from. It s nothing to write home about, but I d come here again.

Worst steak ever! Was there with 6 work colleagues and all our Black Angus steaks where not even edible. Beer was great but the food totally sucks.

I ordered their beer sampler and it was awesome.
As with any brewery, the sides are greasy except the seafood Ceviche which was excellent - large size too with lots of shrimp and nachos.
I would return here on a weekend.

I've been here a couple of times for appetizers and beer and it was good enough that it's on my list of places to try for dinner.

The food is okay and the drinks are overpriced. Apparently if you expect 30 people to show up but only 22 make it, Faultline wants to charge you 10$ per person who didn't show. The waitress said we should understand it from their perspective. Our perspective is that you're ridiculous and we won't come here anymore, something have been doing for years for work outtings.

Good place to grab a beer after work. Lively, good atmosphere, good beers. Waitstaff is not knowledgeable about beer and the food. Food is pretty standard and not very well done. Pub food - should not expect gourmet cuisine here.

I have dined at Faultline several times at night. Overall, it is fun being there with good beer and snacks etc. During busy time, parking is sort of challenging though.

Beer selection is ok but would be better with more choices. I like the beer sampler to taste different kinds to compare which suits my palate. Foods tend to be sort of inconsistent depending on when you dine. My guess is that foods over weekend are not as good as they should during the week because the main chef is off on weekends. This restaurant is located in business sector and targets business gatherings etc.

Pretty disappointed. I haven't been to Faultline in years, but remembered it being a lot better. My IPA had no head and zero head retention. It was murky, not to be confused with unfiltered. It was hoppy, but nothing else to it. My salad was indiscernible. I ordered an Asian chicken salad, but it could have been any other salad. I've had better prepackaged salads from Costco and Trader Joe's. No flavor, no color, just meh. We ordered wings, which were pretty good. Only complaint was the ranch was served is a tiny bowl unsuitable for dipping. The worst part was the warning to hide valuables because cars are regularly broken into. The sign made it clears they were not responsible for lost or stolen items, which makes sense. However, you would think they would at least have a security guard present if the issue was that bad. Bottom line, don't water your time. I think there's a BJs in the area that would be much better.

Good selection of beers. The staff is friendly.. The cauliflower appetizer is really tasty !!

Fabulous place!

This place is actually a brewery and you can actually order locally produced beer. Amazing!

I just love the ambience and seating. They also have live bands performing on weekends.

Stopped by Faultline after a few years away from the happy hour scene (I blame the kids) to grab a bite and reacquaint ourselves with what's on their tap.

Started out with an appetizer to go with our flights:
Mediterranean Mini Falafels with cumin-cucumber yogurt and pomegranate sauces $8
The mini falafels were tasty, but the dense, floury texture made them heavy fare. I have to say, the pomegranate sauce was fabulous, though I thought it was a garlic salsa. Had no idea there was pomegranate in it until I reread the menu. Fries tasted great with it!

Ordered an entree we thought would pair well with the stout:
House "ale Braised" Pot Roast creamy mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables in a rich brown sauce $18
Don't waste your money. The beef was super dry and tough. The gravy was overly salty. And the golden beets were not cooked enough. Thumbs down, period.

Out of the beer flight, the only memorable one was the Best Bitter. It had some character. All the rest were blah.

Of everything we experienced, the best thing was the service. Waiters and bus boys were polite and helpful. Too bad the didn't have good product to serve.

All the beer lovers, stout in particular should come here. Unlike many places who deprive there customers of good stout this place has fairly good stout. I liked their London Porter as well. Good collection of beers but food was very slightly above average, nothing great about it.

It's not a bad place but the beer is just so average. Entirely unimaginative in flavour.

Faultline is such a great brewery with a killer food menu. There are so many seating options for groups, solo diners/drinkers, people who like outdoor space and more. The space is very wheelchair-accessible, though for patio seating you'd enter from outside and not through the main bar. They have a great beer selection and offer beer flights. I had the Asian chicken salad which was super fresh. The hot wings were smoked and I think fried, which was amazing.

Always fun gathering at faultline. Cold beers and tasty food, and great company. Burgers and fried calamari are favorites; open atmosphere, lakeside views.

Food is decent, and the portions are large. The beer is the best thing about this place. Don't miss the cask conditioned brews!

Solid atmosphere. Good beer. Great outdoor patio in the back for when it's warm outside. A little too crowded though.

I went here for a company celebration. The beer was ok. That was about the only good thing.

For how expensive the food is here, the quality of the tables, chairs, atmosphere isn't good enough.

My biggest complaint is the food. I ordered the Paella. It was horrible. It was basically rice with butter and various things mixed in. It didn't have any spices or any flavor whatsoever. I can't believe a restaurant would serve something like that to its customers.

I know I'll never be going back.

I have been here a few times for happy hour. The specials are reasonably priced and the food is decent. It is a great place to relax after work with friends.

Good, solid beers but their burger wasn't what was on the menu and the service at the bar at 2pm on a Monday was basically non-existent. No wonder their parking lot was almost empty, just wish I had other choices with the short amount of time I had.

I stopped in for a late lunch. Tried the "Big One" Double IPA, which was good and not too hoppy. For food, had the pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich was fresh but was too small for $15, lacked flavor, and had slaw on side, which was hardly dressed and lacked seasoning. The house made chips were good and the bartender was friendly and helpful. The place and bar are really nice and spacious, beer was good, but food was lacking. I'd try it again because of the place and beer.

The sad thing is, you guys started off very strong and Faultline was one of my husband and my favorite restaurants to go on our date nights, unfortunately you guys have severely gone downhill since then. Every time we have tried to go there for dinner, it seems to be closed and this is on Saturday nights! When we first started having dinner there, it was at least 3 or 4 years ago and the menu had much more selections, but now it's been dumbed down significantly to only a few food items. The beer is still good and the ambiance is nice, but it has also gotten more crowded. So I'm sorry I'm giving you a low rating due to the fact that you guys dumbed down your menu, and are never open when we try to have dinner there and you think your customers won't notice.

This place is worth trying. They serve large portions for fair rates. Constantly neat and with excellent ambience. Highly recommended.

Decent menu, mostly good beer too. The places feels a little too much like a restaurant and less like a brewery, and I think that rubs off on the quality of the brews and the overall atmosphere. Parking here can be a pain during happy hour, so plan accordingly.

Beer was good, the Belgian Abbey was actually very good. Unfortunately, the food I had wasn't that great. I don't think the oil was hot enough, my fish and chips were very greasy.

The food is pretty good, but a little on the pricier side for somewhat standard 'brew-pub' food. The beers are good, definitely better than other brew-pubs in the area. However, the various beers available tend to have similar base characteristics and not extremely varied tastes.

Terrible service, terrible food, good beer. Group of 10 tried a variety from the food menu. Worst ribs ever. Salmon burger could not be eaten. Fish tacos were dry and flavorless.

Great place for an after work beer. I've been coming here for several years and sitting in the bar area for beer and appetizers. Local brewery with about 10 beers on tap.

Bad service. 15 min to get menu, food arrives fast but beer never shows. Have to flag down server 5 min later to ask for beer. Beer tastes fine. Food was bland (oktoberfest schnitzel). Prices are fair, service needs work.

Hennessey cocktail was great. Not fan of their mocktails. Nice sever, and everything was coming very fast.

My husband and I go to Faultline frequently for dinner and or drinks and appetizers. We always walk away happy and having enjoyed our evening. The food is always good, and the wait staff friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very upbeat and happening. We always leave knowing that we will be back.

I've always enjoyed the atmosphere at Faultline Brewery. The food and drinks are good. I do believe it is a bit overpriced though. Faultline also closes fairly early on Saturdays (9:30). So it doesn't make Fualtline a choice to go to for food or drinks on the weekend as they close early.

Great place for smaller corporate happy hour events. Flexible staff helped us put together a great mini celebration for our engineering team. Located in the center of silicon valley.

The reason I have to give at least 4 stars is because our server Adam really went above and beyond as far as customer service is concerned. He made sure that our table was comfortable at all times in a non-invasive way, an extremely difficult balance to strike. The food was good, but over priced for what it was. The Oktoberfest menu is pretty legit and well priced. The beer was good across the board. Wait times for food when it's busy are extremely long and average when it is empty. It could be because their kitchen is too small to actually provide for all the tables they have. Overall I would say my server made my good experience. Definitely a good spot to grab a beer though!

great place for date night or even taking the kids early. Lovely lake, hidden gem! I love all the beer tastings as well. Impress your man and bring him for some good food and beers

Large place with wide selection of their owns brews which are good.

Food is good and the building is really cool. Their beer is decent but they don't have any stars.

I've come here on work and personal occasions. I think that the service & food can be a little better. The beer is standard, doesn't make me race back for more. Overall, 3 stars.

Food wasn't bad. Beer was disappointing, as was the iced tea and soda (no Coke). Deck seems like it could be great in summer.

Decent beer but kind of watered down if you're used to more traditional craft styles from CO or MI. The food is good but just a bit on the pricey side. Overall it's a solid place, but not my favorite brewpub in the area.

Very reliable place for a drink and some bar food. The Kolsch beer is very good.

Awesome beer in many varieties shapes and sizes. Pond out back with patio, good for work, friends or a date with good vibes and a solid menu full of variety.

Very good smoked wings and other appertisers. Enjoyed the selection of in house brews. Parking was limited. They were out of fish tacos but otherwise a great option in the San Jose area.

Great place, great friendly staff. The cauliflower appetizer was good, the vehicle was awesome, and the pretzel and beer cheese dip was ok. Love the Seismic stout, gonna come back just for that. Gonna take some with me.

I've come here several times over the past few months and I can confidently say I've never had a bad experience here. All the beers are great, the pizzas are great, the Salmon Burger (pictured) is great, the staff is great, the facilities are great, so on and so on. I highly recommend coming here when you get the chance. Also the ducks that waddle through occasionally are very cute and playful, just try not to feed them haha

Really busy so service was slow, but good was good and beer selection was very good.

Beer was good service was also good tried an IPA, oatmeal stout and a kolsch. All were very good but not great.
