Brewpub does a variety of beer styles well, food less successfully. Realize this is San Jose, but sawing through a $32 ribeye is a bit disappointing. Appetizers edible but not exciting - envision them being dumped into the fryer out of a Sysco box. Belgian style beers were good. Aesthetic is open lodge style, busy bar and dining areas, very noisy with concrete floors and zero sound absorption. Worth a visit for the beer.

I have had several items on their lunch on dinner menu, their lunch menu is by far the best. I give them four stars because their dinner plates are hit or miss. The food is delicious and tastefully presented. I have also had their 2-5pm menu (since we did not know they stop serving entrees during that time) and I highly recommend their butternut squash bruschetta. I am not a beer drinker, but I have been there with a Groupon for beer sampler and appetizers, it's a good deal.

This place isn't bad but for a California brewery the draft selections are severely wanting. The space and ambiance are unique but strange--not necessarily in a bad way but it's like something doesn't add up. Server was friendly and the food came out quickly. But the food and beer weren't much to write home about. Would be an attractive option if it were closer to me but I've got better local options.

Faultline has a very attractive multi-level interior layout with exposed wood beams. There is a great selection of beers on tap and the food menu has something to please everyone. Especially of note is the level of service. From the greeters to the servers and bus servers, everyone was excellent!!

Great atmosphere, went on a Friday night and the food was great, but my waiter was terribly slow with my drinks which was not that big of deal except that the pasta was a good bit spicy, but very tasty, I enjoyed the place despite the service, the live band was great

Let me just say -- this place made me sad! Why wouldn't you be open all day saturdays & sundays? As for vegan options.. they do have a few overpriced items on the menu but if you want something tasty and healthy, you might as well swing by Merit Vegetarian (almost across the street) first. Huge portions to share & soooooo much variety. We were looking for a place to have a pint & play some cards & hopefully be able to get some decently-priced vegan foodstuff while we were at it. Oh well.

I ordered Fish of the day. I ate mahimahi, vegetables and mashed potatoes. Fish dishes are a pleasure for Japanese people when they are tired of steaks. The price is cheaper than the restaurant in the hotel, and since there are small dishes to large dishes, you can get a menu depending on your stomach condition.

I would give this place 3.5 stars. This place is huge, and if you re looking for a place to go with coworkers for happy hour this might be a good choice. We got 2 flights and tried all 10 beers. They were alright beers, a couple were pretty good, but nothing that stood out. The calamari was good but really really oily, and when it got cold they got really soggy. Not sure how the rest of the food is here, but I think overall this place is not bad, not great.

Wow, what happened to this place??? Food used to be good here. This day, three of us ordered a few appetizers and a main for each. My main was fish and chips. Appetizers were small portions and really not good at all. My fried fish was very oily... really oily that it was soggy. Cooked before the oil reaches optimal temperature? The side tartar sauce like concoction was watery and blend also. Thought about giving 3 stars for the ambience. But, service was very slow, making us search for them throughout the dinner. The first plate was the main for one of us instead of the appetizers. That main looked skimpy... Is the new management aware of what's going on -- need more servers and careful chefs. 2 stars from me...

Still offering flights of beer during COVID, ten 3 oz pours of their beers for $15, so that's great! Their beers ranged from yuck to surprisingly tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by their hefe. Their hazy was meh and stout was eh. Their service was pretty nice, but, after we got the beer flights and were enjoying them they informed us we have to order food too... So, garlic fries for me and a salad for my friend. The fries were garlicky and crispy for sure and my buddy didn't complain about the salad but didn't praise it either. Overall, nothing to get super excited about unless you just like chilling on the patio, by the pond, with construction and road sounds nearby, enjoying different beers and some snacks.

A nice place to hook up with friends but i had the Gumbo yesterday and thought that it wasn't that good. The rice was under cooked, the chicken supper dry and had way to much pepper. Hopefully their chef will read this and get control of the menu. Gordon Ramsey wouldn't be happy here either. At leas i don't think so.

The place is really nice. Everything is impressive, starting from the interior and all the way to the taste of their food and craft beer. Recommend to anyone, wether you are looking for romantic diner, or you just want to have a drink and watch some sport! Great place!

Location is perfect...not too far away from many popular companies. This place gets really busy during lunch hours as many business lunches are held due to the ideal location. I love the setting they offer. It can be business casual as you like or you can ask for outdoor seating by their pond which would make it more intimate dining experience. Food is really great. I love their seasonal Louisiana-style gumbo. And their fish tilapia is made just perfect cooked in wrapped aluminum foil. And of course, you can't go wrong with their selection of beers.

Beer was good hence the two stars, food on the other hand was 0 Stars. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese which was tolerable the vegetable ceviche was incredibly chunky pretty much just cauliflower with some lime juice and seasonings,. the chips that came with it we're all food dye colored we asked for plain chips and they didn't have any so we ate the plain chips that were mixed sparsely in the colored chips then asked for some more chips and they charged us for another bowl of chips, fish and chips was acceptable. Service on the other hand wasn't the greatest. the place was packed though so I don't think they're going to be hurt by losing our business.

For okay food, this place is way too overpriced. I know Faultline used to have a chef back in the day that I liked but I feel like he s not there anymore. I think the place could be better but it might just be a bit lazy because of the good traffic it gets from people that work locally. There is a rewards program that s cool and it s easy location wise but I think this place could be a lot better.

The service is always great here, and with the different beers there is always something new to try and the servers are all very knowlegable of different beers and what to pair them with. The food is really good, its a few steps above standard pub food but not so fine dining you're out of pocket and wondering what just happened! I love the full bar as well - its not everyday you have a brewery serving anything other than beer - so its a treat for your non beer drinking pals!!!

Definitely pricey. Beer was good, food was nothing extraordinary but was good too. Beer variety was something I wasn't expecting, usually local breweries only have a handful of options. Faultline had at least 8 or 9 different styles. Among the styles I can remember were: English Porter, Nitro Stout, California Pale Ale, Red Ale, Hefenwizen, Dunkelwizen, Indian Pale Ale.

This is one of my go-to restaurants in the Bay Area. Food is always great, wait times are never too long, even without a reservation. Spring and summer ushers in the outdoor patio use too! The entire staff is obsessed with ensuring that you have the best experience possible. Oh yeah-- then there's the BEER.

The place has a decent selection of beers (a couple of the IPAs were a hit at the table). The food isn't anything special and although the portion sizes are large, the meals are expensive for what you get. The restaurant is huge, can host large groups and attracts a lot of after-work and corporate drinks crowd. The service is attentive and friendly and the open layout and the sunny garden with a fountain goes some way towards making up for the otherwise middling food.

The beer is good, but food is "eh." Not only mediocre in substance, but decidedly overpriced. Apparently the kitchen closes an hour before the bar at the very least on Thursdays, which is surprising considering they only stay open until 9:30 anyway. Also, it was probably just a bad night, but our server was inattentive to the point of seeming disinterested in us being there at all. If they're going for gourmet they really need to work on their food, if they're going for a more homely brewpub, they need to come down on price and stay open later. Half of each just makes the place seem half assed all around.

I have been here several times and Faultline is a pretty good brewpub. It's reliable for what it is- a nice after work happy hour type place to get beer and appetizers. A few tweaks to the beer and the menu and they would get 5 stars from me. This is a great place for groups or a company event, as the space is large and has nice indoor/outdoor options. I suggest getting the beer sampler so you can taste their wares and decide which one you would like the best. Surprisingly for me, I really liked their Kolsch last time I was there.

In a word: underwhelming. Beer was decent, but not great (only had the IPA). I liked the smokey wings, but wish they more than one sauce (which wasn't buffalo). The Beef Dip was recommended, but I'm really not sure why. Reminded me of Steak-umms...#justsayin. And for some reason, my waiter was actually a busser. Don't get me wrong, he was awesome, but it was odd. It was busy, but not that busy. So overall, not a bad experience, but not a good one either. Underwhelming.

Very nice in the summer to sit out in the garden - why don't more places have this? Suitable for both lunch and dinner events. Good if you can get a table at the bar also if you want snacks and drinks. Good service. Can be very busy and noisy through. Beer is wonderful.
