Easy and quick access to some great skiing without long travel time or lift lines.
We went for first time skiing here and this place is awesome.
Great mountain close to Boulder - about 45min away - really good for beginners & moderate levels - could get crowded - the staff was really friendly & super helpful
Having a great day skiing although quite a few slopes are closed despite having snow on them and the day lift pass @ $124 is about $64 too much. Eat and drink before you come for sure as it is expensive.
Good local mountain. Can be windy and crowded but on a powder day Corona Bowl is hard to beat.
Beautiful setting! Friendly, helpful people. Lots of options for fun skiing.
Closest ski resort to the front range! And don t let its size fool you. It has every kind of terrain you could think of!
How does one have minimal fun on the mountain. Come on down to Eldora. But seriously go to Eldora, people die on i70 almost weekly. Why would you risk your safety and your families. Even if you're an awesome driver it only takes one bad driver to crash into you. Summit county just isn't worth it wi...
Had a great time! Drive/parking was not as bad as I thought but I did get there early. The snowboard instructors were really awesome, very patient considering how much I sucked.
I have skied here since the 70s. Was gone for a number of years and am back home and skiing here again. It's home. Love this place. The people are so friendly.i know.there are many larger areas but this is my ski home and.always will be
Highest mountain I've been on is Terry Peak in South Dakota. This beat it by far. The runs seem to never end. There's plenty of trees so it will catch most of the blowing snow when there's wind. Perfect for casual skiers.
Grew up training and racing on this mountain. Nice to take the kids now and drop them off for the day
Great place to ski ! Feels more country style ... love it
Great snow, well groomed runs, friendly staff. The Woodward ski school is great for kids. Only negative was slow service at the Timber Lodge for lunch. It would be better if they had some basic stuff like pizza, fries, hot dogs, etc. ready to serve immediately during lunch hour.
Great experience over and over again. Any day but Saturday you'll have minimal lines and great conditions. It is a smaller hill but the vibes are unique and the beer is cold!!
Snowboard instructors were great. Had a great time. The food line was outrageously slow and long.
A relatively small ski resort, but has a good variety of trails, awesome snow, and easy drive from Boulder downtown.
I particularly enjoyed the band in the lodge. Beautiful place!
Fantastic day trip ski area, the great Nordic skiing trails were the draw for me!
People and parking management have materially declined this year over past years. Staff acts in a way to communicate ambivalence regarding skier experience. The beginner mountain terrain has been primarily repurposed as terrain park leaving materially less green/beginner terrain. Mixing terrain p...
Ski conditions are nice and the location is quite convenient. My kids ski and they love it here. However I have two main complaints. First I paid for an introductory whole day lesson (level 1). Although the instructor was nice, the way they divided the groups were not optimum. We had 19 people in th...
Fun, I dig it. Although over priced for a day pass given the show lifts.
Is a fun place for snowboarding. It's windy most of the time. Enjoyed my stay there.
In thy mountain, I have not forlorn thou path...
Loved the fell of the mountain. We were able to park right by the lifts so we could drop off layers as needed and eat lunch at the car.
Nice ski area to get to relatively quickly from the north Denver metro without having to deal with I-70 traffic or staying overnight. Has all levels of slopes, ski rental options, ski classes for all ages and great trails for cross country skiing. It isn't in a town and isn't huge so many people pa...
Short runs, parking chaos and a Twitter feed that candidly advises you to stay away.
Bus is seemingly always booked.
Need management overhaul - desperately.
As is? Avoid.
Nordic center lines are waaaay to long. Need to up their game!
Beautiful day skiing. The Sun was shining until 3pm anyway
Awesome family resort. Small, but a great option if you want to avoid the i-70 crowds
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Fun slopes for an intermediate. I didn't have my snowlegs back soon enough to try the black diamonds but I'm sure they were great. Only downside is the amount of walking between lifts at Base.
What a blast we had! This was my first time skiing and it was really fun. I can t wait to go back next year and ski again. Great time over all. I recommend visiting if you live near by
Great quick low priced skiing experience. Easy to get to.
Short tracks, reduced menu and high prices but the proximity to Boulder and Denver gets all the points. In addition, it has the best HR manager!
Great local mountain. If you need coddling go somewhere else. If you don't wanna pay for a season pass don't complain about the price. It's expensive to keep up a ski area, fact of life. At $139 for a 1 day, though, seriously if you don't have a season pass probably go somewhere else.
Eldora was a nice place. Good for beginners. Great for experienced experts. However if you are just a intermediate skiing It was a bit Small. needed longer runs.
This is a fun little ski resort. I like this ski resort because it is so close, but it is also pretty expensive and usually very crowded. However, I can't complain because it is only about 45 minutes from Boulder.
Local spot that always pleases. To many people hate on eldora doe no reason. Really enjoyed this season and all the powder days here
Good ski resort, Eldora is amazing. Nearby there is a good cannabis dispensary SILVER STEM, which was very convenient for me and my friends.
Great for skiing! Lodge is nice and warm! Food is delicious! Staff is great!
Eldora is a surprisingly nice mountain given the small overall size compared to the major Colorado resorts.
Pros:
Colorado Snow - it gets skied off pretty quickly, but it's still Colorado snow.
The steep trees - seems like most people don't realize that the trees in Corona are as steep as just ...
Local place, with few runs. Not overly crowded and most important, no sitting in traffic to get there!
Kids learned to ski here. They loved it! Great place to learn.
Friends Dont Let Friends Drive I-70
*unless its a weekday in February at which point 3,000+ acres at Breck/Copper/Vail , the west wall/Norway at Abasin , A51 & long groomers at Keystone , or Endless Bumps & the Cirque at Winter Park are definitely worth it
If you are looking for convenience and saving yourself the hassle of being in traffic for 2-3 hours, then this is the ski place for you. Only ~40 minutes from Boulder. Great high-speed 6-man chair lift gets you up to the top in minutes so you can get more skiing in. Part of the ikon pass now.
Another awesome day on the slopes!
Get to it!!!
The resort is more of a locals place a than anything else. The slopes aren't the longest nor is there a lot options of trails.
The awesome thing about this resort is that it is close to Denver. It is a great place to spend the morning skiing or boarding before work. I have brought several people he...
Excellent, smaller local ski resort (especially for those commuting from Boulder county). Get there 1 hr before opening, nab a great parking spot and get 10 runs in before lunch.
Love this smaller resort. One of my favorites. Only thing from 5 stars is food selection. The staff are incredible though, everyone has smiling faces and will have a good conversation with you.
Thanksgiving Day was perfect! Slopes were wide open. My toddler worked in his skills in the backyard area before tackling the magic carpet. Looking forward to heading here again.
Wow. Had a ton of fun here and waaaay less crowded than Breck.
Not having to deal with I-70 was extremely enjoyable and may be best part of skiing here. The mountain has a non-Colorado feel to it (besides of course the views of some major peaks) due to the lack of substantial snowfall. The runs were SLICK. Just sheets of ice. Lack of snowfall and always high wi...
First time in the area and even though it was middle of the summer we had a great time at the exterra run event.
The mountain is good and steep however, because there are usually high winds the runs are void of snow at the tops and very icy. This is a local ski resort not a big fancy one. They have done a great job making sure there are bathrooms on the hill and at the base. Good shuttle service to the ski bas...
Love Eldora!
It's been shunned off as a small, windy and icy resort but it's short lift lines, powder stashes in trees, great groomers and 100% coverage in snowmaking make it a great destination for Boulder and Ned locals who want to get some turns in while avoiding foreign Jerry's and endless to...
The bathrooms are always smelly and dirty. The snowboarding is good and finally they can improve the terrain park. I wish they had more features for beginners
No Parking! We had to turn around and come back! What are you going to do about this situation?
This a great mountain to get your children started with skiing or snowboarding.
A decidedly decent experience. Terrain is limited and the wind can be fierce but it still tends to be a great time. Great location, friendly staff, nice views. Chalet food is pretty weak. Staff do a great job trying to manage parking, etc.
Perfect for a half day ski.
Smaller but well taken care of resort. Staff has always been friendly to me.
Nice slopes, even in -18 degC temperatures. However, I am quite concerned for the lack of safety bar on the most used ski lifts. I expected this to be a default safety feature for decades, but I guess not.
Terrible food with high price. Inflated lift prices. Grouchy lifties that yell at you when you get in line. I do not recommend for anyone but winter park is much better.
Expensive for its size, but it's easy to get to from Boulder (you can even take the N bus).
I grew up skiing here and loved Eldora but after recent trips to other skii areas I have started to notice things that I don't like as much. They obsessively scan passes even on the back side lifts. The chairs seem to stop really often and the back side lifts are pretty slow. That being said the ski...
This resort is in within driving distance from Denver which was quite convenient for us. We are from out of town and were not familiar with which resorts were the best. The day we visited in Feb 2019 it was super cold and very windy. There was hardly anyone out skiing and the ski lifts were close...
Great local mountain and place to learn. Love the new lift!
A hidden gem in the corporate ski resort world in Colorado.
Thought I'd save time and money by going to Eldora instead of the big resorts and was pleasantly surprised. Blue and Black Diamond runs are slightly shorter than big resorts but just as good with enough variety to make it I interesting for a two day trip. The best part was the lift line was very sho...
Pro: The closest ski resort for Boulderites. Con: Too expensive (reason for only 4 stars)
Thanks, I hate it. It's close, but it's crowded, windy, and way too expensive. Added bonus: the bar won't be taking credit cards this season.
I'd give the mountain 5 stars but the rental and ticket buying experience could be better. They need to completely separate rentals from ticketing. The staff was courteous and very helpful, considering the circumstances. The shuttle buses to parking were very efficient. I would go again but I'd rent...
I thought it was the best small resort I have been to. Obviously don t go on the weekend, that will be disastrous, midweek is amazing though. Parking wasn t bad at all, lift ticket price is pretty outrageous though.
The locals mountain! If you want to hang with people actually from Colorado stay in Nederland and take the bus to Eldora for a full day's worth of fun!
Some nice long runs, well groomed, and convenient location. Went on a Friday and enjoyed being the only skier on several of the runs. The pizzas at the lodge are surprisingly good too.
Great. Amazing staff and awesome slopes. Really fun. A must.
