Montreal famous for a reason, Dunns still has the best smoke meat sandwiches just like they did 70 years ago.

Not the best Poutin I've ever had but a Montreal staple of smoked meat poutin is still delicious and is a HUGE serving, a meal by itself. Fast and friendly family diner service too.

My favourite stop during my Montreal visits. One of the most deliciously juicy smoked meats in Montreal. Friendly and quick service.

Had breakfast. Coffee was horrible (and cold) and the hash browns were over-cooked. The rest was quite good and the waitress was nice. Hoping that this was just a one-time thing.

I took poutine general tao to change the smock meet ..... well I should have stayed on what they do best I think ... Because all the ingredients were there, good, in QUANTITY ! But 10 times too much soy sauce or I don't know which, because REALLY TOO salty!
I finished my dish by taking fries from my colleague with whom I was at the table so as not to have this ULTRA salty taste in the mouth.

What needs to be said. Its amazing. Drove from Ontario to go with my mom for lunch so she could revisit where She went in dates with my dad. Worth it.

Dunn s is a very good place for a quick lunch. They had a huge menu that you can chose from. I had a General Tous chicken salad that was amazing. Another person in my party got a burger that was just a regular burger. Someone else got a Rubin which they said was amazing. The smoked meat inside the Rubin its self was delicious. I would not recommend sitting outside if you are going to have anything sugary. When I was there a few bees come to are table and where going inside our soda. Other than the bees invading the food was very good.

I love their services. Very fast and efficient. The staff are very welcoming and kind. The food was really, really epic. Had to take breaks very good quantity and quality.

Best smoked meat in Montreal! Delicious fries, onion rings, cheese sticks, salads... Seriously everything I've ever tasted there is delicious. Their motzah ball soup is just perfect on a cold wintery day.

Good food and open late. Lot's of choice and fast service. Good dessert options too.

Very nice plates for a reasonable price, the service is also at the top. All that is expected of a dinner. I will come back later for dessert, I am full for the moment!

Our food was blend, the burger was DRY and tasteless, my fish N chip the batter was coming off the fish which was oily as F.... I never paid so expensive for food i disliked so much, if it wasn't for covid i would of return that food but i was upset we just left it behind AMIR restaurant for the birds to eat the rest. Worst experience ever you better walk to HARVEY's across the street you'll get better food half the price.

We arrived in Montreal late at night and while most restaurants were closed we found Dunn's Famous through a "good google review" search and found that it was still open. The poutine was great, service was awesome

Good meat, good bread rolls, good salad, good cheese cake! Everything is perfect!

Old smoked meat, nothing to do with the Dunn's before.

Abusively expensive $ 13 mini smoked meat without any accompaniment and worse than a convenience store sandwich.

Mehh the rib steak was ok but the service was horrible. Found a hair in my fries. They didnt charge me for the meal but still. I wouldn t go back.

This is not the best smoked meat poutine I have eaten! To be honest, I haven't finished my meal. The smoked was not as tender and melting like the popular places in Montreal (Schwartz for example). I went there for breakfast, my mistake. I think cooker was taking a nap as there was only 2 customers and the waitress had to chase the cooker upstairs. I understand big business happens around lunch and supper, but if you decide to open 24/7, make sure your food stands to the level of all other competitors offering the same product, I don't recommend to go there for Breakfast, Ben & Florentine is just a block away.

This place had lots of character, the food is amazing, the poutine is worth the calories, and you can't come to Montreal and not have a smoked meat sandwich!

Quick and nice service. Very convenient for its opening hours. And the food is great for a decent price.

Going above and beyond. I ordered a meal for takeout. Once I got home an item I paid for was missing. After a quick call to the staff they assured me they would make up for the mistake. And that is exactly what they did. All staff I spoke to were extremely accommodating and apologetic. I feel that more business should treat customers this way. They took a bad situation and converted me into a life-long customer. Well done all. In respect of the food it is delicious and consistent. Exactly as you would want to expect.

Good food. Large portions. Roughly $18 for a large smoke meat sandwich, fries, coleslaw and dill pickle.

Rude service. Asked for a table for 7 and got a flat out NO. Probably better off. Tired of Dunn's bolognie sandwiches anyways.

Got food to go and they had really fast service with no diminish in the quality of food! Definitely recommended if you're near by. The portion size was filling :)

Came here upon recommendation of quality smoked meat. Was not disappointed!!! Typical diner atmosphere, the staff were friendly and walked us through their recommendations.
I had a Reuben, generous portions of meat the was both juicy and flavourful. My fries weren t as crispy as I like but that s a preference.
My partner thoroughly enjoyed a fried rice option.
The real surprise was the chocolate chip cookie we took home!!! Chocolate chip yumminess. We stopped by the next day solely for another one each.

This is a must have when visiting Montreal. You have got to try the smoked meat fried rice!!!

Good service, heavy food. Good for a late night pick up order. They specialise in smoked meat.

I'm American and this is my go-to restaurant when I visit Montreal. I love the old-school charm and it's located in the heart of downtown. The menu is lengthy with plenty of choices at decent prices. The portion sizes are big and you get free refills on the soft drinks. I recommend the chocolate cake for dessert, if you have enough room for it.

Had an amazing night here, waitress was one of the best I've had in years, super polite and made the whole night better.

A dated interior, but appropriate for a deli. Prices reasonable. Has an outdoor dining area. Food is good, but not outstanding.
