Convenient for the subway, good selection of ales, cozy atmosphere and good staff.
I love Curlers Rest, their selection of ales and craft beers is amazing. Although I have never tried their food I have seen it and it looks so tasty. I heartily recommend this pub
Christmas dinner excellent. Lovely inside great staff.
Nice place and nice staff. A lot of diferent kinds of beer
A nice old Pub, nice inside, good food, great atmosphere.
Recommended if you're in the west-end (its just next to Hillhead underground too).
This pub has been situated next door to Hillhead subway for years and it's a popular place to have a drink and something to eat with people who live in the west end.
Great selection of drinks and decent priced pub food and bar snacks are available but it can get quite busy at weekends as you would ...
Very comfortable pub, good cross section of ages, good service
Food was OK. Bit overpriced. Open fire is a nice touch.
Nice, quiet friendly pub with food in the West End. Some local beers. Decent food. Friendly staff.
This bar has always been a favourite haunt. The welcome here is exactly the same as it always has been. Warm, friendly and the Sunday roasts are just awesome!
This is a nice looking pub, with an appealing Sunday roast menu.
Most of the rmeal was nice, unfortunately the roast beef was overcooked, dry, and quite gristly. We arrived shortly after opening, so hopefully we were just unlucky and got the first couple of cuts off the roast.
Service was a bi...
Historic building with a great story, good range of drinks and friendly to all.
Been coming here for years. Staff are always helpful and friendly, good selection of beer always kept well, and the menu has a wide variety of food to eat. Lots of seating and a large room with benches upstairs near the kitchen. Had some kind of bbq chicken wings, chargrilled and delicious. Will kee...
We had a really good roast lunch here. The service was amazingly quick considering how busy they seemed to be. The food was really nice, the meat and vegetables were among the best I've ever had, but the potatoes, gravy, and Yorkshire puddings were quite bland.
Good mirror quality in the guys toilet and adequate lighting....'The mirror man....'
Made us a lovely steak and cheddar pie and triple cooked chips 5 minutes before food was stopped. And a beautiful pint of Tennant's lager. Highly recommend. Even for a drink, it seems a great place to be. And I'm from Yorkshire! Lovely waitressing and friendly service!
Great modern but pub with History.Great selection of beer, wine and spirits.Great food, especially there Sunday roast.
Wonderful for a Sunday roast or a quiet pint with friends.
We went on a recommendation from a local and had a great family Sunday roast.
Great popular pub with music food and wide selection of drinks. Popular spot with locals and students alike
The food was good ... the floor was absolutely crazy and it is worth seeing.
Love this bar, always feels warm and comfortable, food is great. Staff are quick and efficient. Great comfy seats.
What a depressing bar. Think it might be the colour guaranteed depression. No atmosphere. Looked at others food decided to starve being the better option. Three quarters of a pint for the price of two. Will stick to Finnieston. Byres Road is finished.
Lovely west end pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Dogs welcome.
Always great service, selection of drinks, and has an amazing ambience, particularly lovely at Christmas! Food is a bit expensive but very good. Would definitely recommend!
Excellent establishment , so homely for a visitor from Australia and great history and food .
Cracking atmosphere, great food and real ale. What more do you want from a proper pub?
Good food comprehensive of beer that you choose. Lovely atmosphere. Very comfortable.
On the plate, arrived a little over 20 minutes after my order, it's the burger I expected, with bacon and cheese. Next to it, the fries are presented in a brasserie-style aluminum cup and I don't need more than 10 seconds to count them. The whole is not generous, as we like to do now on tables which...
Beer was fine but my Fish and Chips were over salted. The Fish left a puddle of cooking oil on the plate. In fairness my colleague thought the Steak and Amber pie was excellent.
Nice place for a seat and a drink. Good beer selection . Didn't try their food - maybe next time. Al in all a very nice time spent at Curlers
Such a wonderful and friendly pub. Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Plus the place is for the most part accessible sadly their upstairs areas is not accessible as you require stairs to get to the next floor. However the place on the main level is lovely and charming and fully incorporates...
Great food and a good range of beers, lovely old pub
Food was great and staff very friendly..I will return and highly recommend this place to others
Really interesting selection of beers brewed on the premises, and you can watch this through a window as staff go about their work.
Lovely athmosphere, very relaxed on the Weekend for brunch or lunch. Good food, polite staff, pay and order at the bar, easy peasy :)
Great place for lunch friendly staff candles on the tables adds a nice touch always a pleasant atmosphere
Old curlers was superb now a ghost of the past with zilch atmosphere

One of my favourite pubs in Glasgow. It has plenty of space and it's very cosy. It is dog friendly, service is friendly. Food is ok, nothing special.
Really great place. Not been there for about 20 years when a student and was excited to see was even better.
It's a nice wee place. Family and Dog friendly. Nice food, quick service, plenty beer and wine to choose from.
Nice pub good atmosphere good selection of beers and drinks well worth a visit.
Nice pub a bit dark inside prices usual for the areas
Great pub with a range of really interesting beers that changes regularly. Good food too.
Very interesting place, the food was enjoyable (Bar Food) and the service was good. Had a very nice lunch there.
Really like the new menu! It's a great lunch option.
Super cosy pub with a great selection of beer and spirits. Really homely feeling.
Good selection of food too. An afternoon or evening drink can easily turn into hours. Staff are friendly too. Highly recommend.
Good choice of beers and ciders and a big improvement on the old Curlers. Food is great and they regularly have offers if you sign up to their newsletter.
Visited this venue while on a reunion pub crawl down Byers Rd. 30 years since I was last there regularly as a student. Still easily recognisable as the old curlers, long may it last.
Come here to be ripped-off and insulted.
Visited late afternoon in May. I was drinking the weakest cask bitter that they had. The barmaid served my first pint with a large head on it but did attempt to top it up when asked. The pint still had about 1.5cm head.
For my second pint I was served short...
One of my favourite west end pubs,no pretensions about it,comfortable and welcoming.
Very doggie friendly, excellent food (with excellent weekday deals too) and even better always a great selection of interesting ales.
Went here for breakfast a few times. Food was fine and the staff were nice.
Good food, a bit dark and stuffy, service ok, nice place for a meal, family friendly.
Went there for an event that was utilising their free function room. Plenty of space dispite the pub being busy. Friendly staff and good food.
Really good ambience and open comfortable seating for drinking. Good draft selection. Friendly staff. Good location.
Perfect place to spend time with people, chat and have a drink. They also serve dinner.
I haven't been here in years, its decor is much improved from my student-age days. A good range of beers and ales were on show. Staff were perfunctory, prices on a par with other bars in the area. This place lacked character, however, so I moved on after one drink.
