This pub has been situated next door to Hillhead subway for years and it's a popular place to have a drink and something to eat with people who live in the west end.
Great selection of drinks and decent priced pub food and bar snacks are available but it can get quite busy at weekends as you would ...

This is a nice looking pub, with an appealing Sunday roast menu.

Most of the rmeal was nice, unfortunately the roast beef was overcooked, dry, and quite gristly. We arrived shortly after opening, so hopefully we were just unlucky and got the first couple of cuts off the roast.

Service was a bi...

Been coming here for years. Staff are always helpful and friendly, good selection of beer always kept well, and the menu has a wide variety of food to eat. Lots of seating and a large room with benches upstairs near the kitchen. Had some kind of bbq chicken wings, chargrilled and delicious. Will kee...

We had a really good roast lunch here. The service was amazingly quick considering how busy they seemed to be. The food was really nice, the meat and vegetables were among the best I've ever had, but the potatoes, gravy, and Yorkshire puddings were quite bland.

Made us a lovely steak and cheddar pie and triple cooked chips 5 minutes before food was stopped. And a beautiful pint of Tennant's lager. Highly recommend. Even for a drink, it seems a great place to be. And I'm from Yorkshire! Lovely waitressing and friendly service!

What a depressing bar. Think it might be the colour guaranteed depression. No atmosphere. Looked at others food decided to starve being the better option. Three quarters of a pint for the price of two. Will stick to Finnieston. Byres Road is finished.

On the plate, arrived a little over 20 minutes after my order, it's the burger I expected, with bacon and cheese. Next to it, the fries are presented in a brasserie-style aluminum cup and I don't need more than 10 seconds to count them. The whole is not generous, as we like to do now on tables which...

Come here to be ripped-off and insulted.
Visited late afternoon in May. I was drinking the weakest cask bitter that they had. The barmaid served my first pint with a large head on it but did attempt to top it up when asked. The pint still had about 1.5cm head.
For my second pint I was served short...

I haven't been here in years, its decor is much improved from my student-age days. A good range of beers and ales were on show. Staff were perfunctory, prices on a par with other bars in the area. This place lacked character, however, so I moved on after one drink.
