This was a great place to see native wildlife. The guides were wonderful, fun and knowledgable. They shows us howler monkeys, birds, butterflies and pretty local plants. We learned a lot and enjoyed walking through local habitat with so much wildlife.

This was the best thing we did in Belize. We got a guide after we got off the cruise ship and had our own personal tour of the island and another personal tour guide in the rain forest to see the baboons. It was amazing and our guide was awesome! I highly recommend visiting here if you have the time...

Dwayne was our tour guide and he is the most incredibly gifted conservationist who has intelligence way beyond his years. We are both conservationists ourselves and he taught us so much about the anthropology of the Creole and Mayan people and the medicines they made from nature which we found in t...

We didn't know what to expect, but had a fun experience here. The monkeys (howler monkeys) we're so close you could have touched them (although not allowed to). If you enjoy seeing them in their natural habitat, this is for you.

Definitely a must while in Belize. Guides were very informative and forth coming with information. Wonderful experience, especially for children. Tour includes a hike in nature and if brave; a face to face with wild howler monkeys.

The sanctuary is great in that it protects the habitat of the black howler monkeys and other wildlife here, as well as promotes conservation of the riverbank. Our experience was poor - our guide was drunk, attracted monkeys by hand by feeding them some special leaves (he said coca leaves but they se...
