I came here for a week from Turkey, and I Loved It So Much! Staff, Teachers, Houses we stayed at... They were Awesome!
Its such a wonderful place! I ve been here for four weeks, and they were amazing!
We studied English, we played games, we had a lot of fun!
We had like 2 English lessons in the afternoon or morning (depends on ur group, but u will swap anyeay), first one is about grammar and different interesting topics, second one is project, you so some interesting stuff that is somehow connected with current topic, that is also about culture.
The real funs begins when the activities starts, everyday you have at least afternoon or morning activity, and if you stay in residence evening one, if ur homestay - depends on the day of the week. Every acticity is unique, all the CCL staff is interesting and intelligent people, always ready to help you and answer any questions(especially how to get applied to Cambridge university). As one of them told me: when u r getting applied, u must write about good things that u have done, and there s 3 categories: good, very good and super good, and participating/working in CCL is a bit higher than super good.
I can definitely recommend this place to both people who wants to increase their language or just spend time with pleasure and maybe go to cambridge university!
I spent two weeks at Cambridge Center for Languages and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. I especially liked the activities in the afternoon and the excursions at the weekend. I liked the rooms very well, because of the great view. In addition, I found it pleasant to live in a single room. The SAO 's and teachers were good contact people and now I have the feeling that I speak English much better. Also the lessons were great fun and we learned a lot. If we had a problem we could always go to someone who helped us then. There have also been many new friendships. In addition we met people from other countrys and had great fun with them. I really liked it and so I would definitely like to come back here and enjoy another language holiday.
I worked there as a SAO (not hired from the School the centre of Languages ) with a group of 21young students from Spain in family homestays(the were aged between 13 and 17). The Staff is competent and very kind too (they always give students alternative solutions for accomodation and welfair services). Secondly, teachers are some qualified and motivate students to speak English for everyday communicative situations. It have been a pleasure to work here! I wish I'd come back soon!!
Possible the worst organised school I have experienced in recent years. The person managing the in school curriculum did not have a clue. And the directress Mrs Chen was an absolute nightmare as she was very flakey with her direction to say the least. Poor service, there are far better organised schools in the UK, avoid unless you are desperate. SM
Students and staff are loud and have a blatant disregard for the local residents. Maybe they should teach manners as well as English.
I spent two weeks in Cambridge. I had a wonderful single room; furnished with everything I needed. Since our teachers were very nice we spoke a lot with them. This has improved our pronunciation and vocabulary. I made many friends with kids from other countries. In the afternoon after class we had certain activities we participated in. For example, we went into the city and visited colleges and museums. At the weekend we visited London and Brighton. In summary, my stay in Cambridge was a wonderful experience.
I was in Cambridge for two weeks. It was really funny and nice!
FOOD:The food was really good ! I'm really particular, but i liked the food :-)
ROOMS:I love the rooms. They are big and clean! My bed was also comfortable. There is also a sink in all rooms. That was really nice!
TEACHERS: They are really friendly! For example we heard some music or did funny games! I also spoke a lot with them!
EXCURSION, ACTIVITIES :We were in London and at other interesting places!
I have been in Cambridge for two weeks this summer and it was a beautiful experience. The school as well as the accommodation was really nice, the perfect place to learn English. In case of problems or questions , the teachers as well as all other staff was always there for help. Everything, for example excursions or the activities, were organized perfectly. In summary my stay in Cambridge was a wonderful experience which really improved my language skills and I would recommend The Cambridge Centre for Languages to everybody.
