Hidden fees - they tell you there is a monthly charge, but do not tell you there is a percentage fee from your overall payroll as well.
Extra long wait times - to reach customer service it takes 1-1.5 h of hold time. there is a option for them to call you back ... but it is a longer wait.
Penalty - if your payroll is short a penny it is $200 penalty fee. If you close an account with them and to get your T4's it is $200 fee as well.
Their location in Quebec is now closed. For small business owners
I recommend using Quick Books and Square services to replace ADP forever.

I do agree with the negative reviews here. The customer service is great until they have acquired your business. I joined this company Feb of 2020 and the service has been nothing but deplorable in recent months. Everything was OK until I encountered some issues due to errors they have made with my payroll.
I have called and emailed their Newfoundland office several times over the past two mths, and to date no response. I have also called and emailed the District Manager that is based out of Mississauga office (several times)and still no response.
They have left me no choice but to file a complaint with the better business bureau and in addition cancel my contract ASAP.
It is very disappointing to learn that the ADP brand stops just at the name, and does not extend to the service.

Michael and Arthur from ADP have been an absolute pleasure to communicate with regarding ADP's payroll and HRIS solutions. I've been in touch with numerous companies that offer similar products and solutions, and ADP has been very active in their responses and very diligent in their work. As a customer, I would 100% recommend their services. You want someone that will maintain on-going communication in the long-term when making a big investment for your organization.

BE VERY AWARE :

BE VERY AWARE :
Worse payroll company every . Before you go live with them they have excellent customer service , they are very attentive and returns calls immediately . after they have you as a customer you can reach no one. We have been trying through emails and phone calls to reach our account manager at ADP for the last 4 months without success. No one calls back. We have tons of payroll issues and T4 issues. I think the ADP employees are trying to screw their company . I think they really hate their jobs and of such is doing all that they can to destroy the ADP brand. We will be canceling the service with them very soon.

Horrible and disgusting service...Save your self from scam.... First of all they dont know what they are doing and always ready to charge NSF fees to clients even the mistakes has been done on their part to set up account. After long investigation of months refunded my NSF but its not enough. If you are charging NSF to your clients for their mistakes, you guys must have to pay NSF to clients on your mistake. If Google have negative rating stars for reviews then i bet you guys will win 100/100.

Avoid utilizing this business, at least in Toronto. The idea of ADP is appealing, it's in the execution where it fails on a whole. The turnover in account managers in the almost two years in dealing with them have been 5, and next level managers above them, 3. Clearly competent staff realize quickly the short-comings of this company and move on. There is a back-program where-by the bank receives a type of remuneration for luring in businesses to sign up with ADP. This in itself is nefariously dubious. ADP is too compartmentalized. Issues bounce from one technical area to the next without any follow-up. Constant issues with not receiving information well within their capabilities to produce. Having to remind numerously for the most simplistic duties. Issues dealing with tax remittances and deductions. Then to add insult to injury when having to bring to these issues to the surface to clear them, we consistently receive a corporate sounding verbal boilerplate of reasonable sounding resolutions that fail to come to fruition. What should be a value-added service has actually cost our company in time and resources.
